That was a first down too. I know he juggled it but it was a bad spot.

Calling it now Bengals Colts AFC Champ game....
A little too early isn't it lol. Every Wednesday Yahoo puts out a premature playoff picture showing the brackets and no matter what I can only come up with a Colts/Patriots Championship Game and a Colts/Saints Super Bowl.

Darklight1216, did you see the final score of the Saints/Rams game. Rams only lost by 5 points, and almost pulled off the upset. That "chance" became realistic. The Ravens could do the same thing with the Colts and beat them, who knows what will happen but like they say any given Sunday.

I didn't see that game, but I understand that the Rams did what we usually do when we face good teams: almost won.

When I made that statement I was referring to when the Rams had a "chance" to beat the Colts.

I honestly think Cincy can beat New England if they play the way they are playing us and stay healthy... and I think the colts will make it pretty far in the post season (usually they struggle there)

Is BB starting to lose his mojo?
Bill Simmons (the Sports Guy) writes for ESPN.com, and he's a big Pats homer. He wrote a column a couple weeks ago talking about this. He mentioned that most coaches don't have much success after the age of 55 (which Belicheat is over). Should be interesting to see what he writes this week about him.

I'm not going to lie (although who would when it comes to this), but I loved seeing Belicheck go for in on 4th down, on his own 30, up by 6. It did amuse how shocked Collinsworth was about Bill going for it. As soon as the 3rd down conversion came up short, I told my girlfriend that I'd be willing to bet money he'd go for it.

Instead of punting it away, forcing Manning to march from his own territory, Bill's egotistical nature got the best of him. Who in their right mind goes for it on 4th down, in the closing minutes of a game, from their own 30, when winning the game? You guessed it, Bill Belicheck. There's absolutely no logical way to justify the call, aside from Bill secretly being on Indy's payroll, and paid to toss the game. It was a horrible call, and Bill deserved to lose.

I think it was pure ego riding on this and BB is not used to things going wrong. This team on D is not as stacked as in previous years--hmmmm sound familiar? Billick always said the average shelf life of a coach is 7 years.

I liked the call to go for it, but the play itself I didn't like. I would've have lived and died on trying to get the ball to Moss- line him up as a TE, run a bunch formation, have him take the snap. Nothing is scarier than an athlete like Moss having the option to pass or run when all he needs is two yards. at least do something unconventional if your going to risk the game like that.

oh well I loved the outcome, thats what the F they get.

No, for it to be karma they have to lose to a team who doesn't also have a diva quarterback. Manning plays it safe, you know, like falling down rather than get knocked down. The Pats would have to lose to a team like us, or the Steelers, or even the Packers. None of those QBs wear skirts.

All that aside, I nearly laughed myself to death over that Brady "throw away the ball because I have the mobility of a mushroom" bit. A real competitor would have run and tried to get a little yardage at least.

actually it was the right idea to go for it on 4th down... when you play QB's like brady or manning (as much as I dislike both of them) they can score from just about anywhere.... so your best bet.... don't give them the chance.... and if you do leave yourself enough time to score again... yeah theres a chance they don't score if you punt... but theres a chance they score and leave you <30 seconds as well...... colts almost scored too early on the one addai run

how would that be karma.... I would think if you get beat by a QB who gets more of his own calls in his favor would be karma.... for a taste of their own medicine.... either way I agree with the other poster... the patriots got what they deserved...

Guess it's a little tougher for Belicheat since he doesn't know what plays the other team is running anymore....

After all the trash they talked to us, about how we complained about the refs...they blame the refs, call them dirty, etc. Just check NFL.com. When we get called, we suck, when they do, it's the refs...okay, yeah right.

Only other thing I am going to say: Coach went for it on 4th and two deep in his own territory. Peace
