I'm sure we'll get to mention Reggie Wayne heaps against Indianapolis unless our coverage improves.

No, any "evidence" is purely subjective, because there is little "measureable" evidence on the quality of Offensive Linemen - unlike, for example, QBs - and especially Right Tackles. Teams' best pass rushers usually rush the LTs, and the "best" OTs usually play LT.

I'm not criticizing or underestimating Oher. He's played great - but if I was picking the best RT this year, I'd more lean toward Jordan Gross or Michael Roos... but it's just an opinion, when picking OLinemen.

Like I said, the LTs - like Walter Jones, Flozell Adams, Chris Samuels, Joe Thomas, Matt Light, Jammal Brown and Jason Peters get more ink, so their performance is more documented, when facing the best pass rushers - so RT is more subjective.

BTW - I don't put a lot of stock in Peter King - he picked Jared Allen as the best Defensive Player in the NFL. Allen has 10.5 sacks, but 7.5 came in 2 games vs. Green Bay, and their atrocious OLine. Remember that Antwan Odom also had 4.5 sacks vs. GB...

Speaking of Jared Allen, have you seen his MTV Cribs Video? I just watched it the other day and it was hilarious. I mean this dude is the real article. I am a fan of his now. You gotta see the video though LOL.

he is good for sure. but he is part of the OL that gives joe just about 2,5 to 3 seconds in the pocket which is the reason we go for the screen passes and hb passes so often. they hafe to give the wr the time to get open down the field. when this is done the real strenght from joe cool comes out. worked perfect the first few games. doesn´t work anymore. don´t get this!!!

I believe the real reason for that is Cam sends the WRs on go-routes just to free up the middle of the field. Then once the DBs and linebackers drop back, we dump it off to Rice to give him that open space.

I'm not sure if ALL of the blame is on the receivers for not getting open. It also has a lot to do with their assigned routes, and how the play is designed to work.

u have receivers on the field that u can pass to them and not that they open up the play for short passes to a rb. of course it works but i would love to see our guys catchin some balls deep or even gettin open. you also have a te witch is a quiet good option in the passing game but often on the field just to block. maybe i am completely wrong but we are gettin very onedimensional when we just use rice and no one else. i´m missin the topic by the way...
