Steelers vs. Broncos

Wow, I didn't know we played the Bengals 3 times.... Did anybody catch when they were talking about the Ravens/Browns game that they mentioned we have to play Pittsburgh twice and the Bengals. Didn't they see the Ravens played the Bengals yesterday?? Wow you would think they would know what happened yesterday since the Countdown crew talked about it most of the pre-game show.

That's a Fumble. The Broncos SHOULD get the ball here..... WTH!!!!!! How did he not see the ball come out, stupid officials. Pittsburgh already had the game won, the ref didn't need to help them. These refs are terrible.

How was that a fumble? The ball got jarred, he had full possession and it was wrestled away while he was on his back..

Also, there was no conclusive evidence.

Not like the Steelers need the refs help being up 11 with 1:30 to play.

It was a great game. I'm starting to think Josh McDaniels may draft a new QB, I'm sure he doesn't like having Kyle Orton who can only throw short to medium passes and would prefer someone he can mold into a QB similar to Tom Brady.

That might end up being the story of their year. They came out swinging then lost to an average team, then lost two in a row... we'll have to see how this turns out.

I'd like to call out the Broncos running game on this one. Rushing for 1 yard is not going to help the cause when your defense is hung out to dry and your forced to throw almost 40 times.

Anybody notice the officials in this game? You shouldn't have. I havent seen that few flags in any game for a long time. It looked like they decided before the game that they just weren't gonna call holding at all, for any reason. I saw with my own eyes 10-12 blatant holds by the steelers and about 6 or 7 by the broncos, none of which were called and I have no problem with it as long as its consistent and it was.

On another note, Denver is done. They could go 6-10 now as far as Im concerned. It looked like the Steelers in the 1st quarter thought Denver would change their short passing game strategy b/c of the success we had against it. They didnt, pittsburgh adjusted and sat on everything short and Denver never readjusted. Orton cannot go over the top and it will hurt them bad. Better draft a QB next year guys!

Something is wrong iwth Hines Ward. I think hes had too many facelift surgeries or something that made his face permanently stuck with that stupid grin. He's like the antithesis of Joe Cool. Joe is blank-faced on every play good or bad. Ward is grinning from ear to ear on every play whether he just caught a TD pass or he got knocked out of the game...weird

one other thing.IN addition to not calling holding, they were really letting them PLAY the receivers. I saw tons of contact by the broncos D way past 5 yds, never got a call. BTW, Imnot complaining about the officials. I thought the non-calls were great and fair for both sides. Best officiated game Ive seen this year. That head ref needs to get it together when he gets on the mic though. The first penalty of the game was a big one against denver on 3rd down and he almost sounded like he was giddy about it. THen on a punt return, he referred to a penalty as being "after the interception"

Ugh the highlights I saw of this game on Sportscenter this morning just scares me.
