I'm glad. Finally a team had the guts to do the right thing. Although I'm sure the fact that the fans were actually on their side on this one helped, it still must have been a difficult decision to cut probably your best player. I wish more teams had the guts to deal with jerks this way.

Agreed. He doesn't deserve to play football IMO. Some folks just lack the maturity to realize what they've got.

I always thought he was overrated. When he was putting up big numbers, he was running behind an all-pro line. Now that their line is average/below average, that's what LJ has become. I knew KC made a big mistake signing him to that big extension.

Very glad this happened. Wasn't he very close to the chiefs all time rushing record or something? I certainly don't think he deserves any accolades like that.

I don't know if LJ started out his NFL career as overrated but it's certainly fallen that way since.

I know Chiefs fans wanted him out so he didn't break Priest Holmes's team rushing record. I'm sure that had something to do with the decision and I'm not surprised it happened. Something happened to him after he left Penn State....he turned into a crybaby diva.

Just heard on Monday Night Countdown, Adam Schefter reported that not just the redskins are interested in LJ.... the Pittsburgh Steelers seem interested in getting him for the stretch run into the post-season. Adam went about how LJ wanted Pittsburgh to draft him since he is a PA guy, and now it seems if LJ can clear waivers he may get his wish and play for the Steelers.

Warden you have any thoughts on LJ becoming a Steeler?

LJ won't be a Steeler. He'll be a Redskin. Snyder already shows respect to wash up players. He signed Shaun Alexander, now he'll sign LJ.

Honestly, I'd rather no one sign him and let him fade off into the sunset. I'm glad the Chiefs had the stones to just let Johnson go. I've never been a "fan", so to speak, of his. Something told me he was down when I heard the Chiefs were going to suspend him for his latest bad decision.
