Penalties

And we will continue to be first in the league in penalty yards.

Discipline is something that is really taught and obtained in training camp. It's hard to just come out one week, and be disciplined. We haven't been disciplined over the first half of the season, what's to think that's going to change?

I think we should all be used to the amount of penalties by now. Its been a problem for as long as I can remember. I really thought they would come down under Harbaugh but that hasn't happened.

On a side note, I remember a playoff game a few years back where the Carolina Panthers went the whole game without a single penalty and won. It might have even been on the road. How nice would that be.
I don't think we or anyone else needs to regroup in order to beat the Browns. We can take our vanilla defense, inconsistent offense, and undisciplined execution and still spank them.

If we do lose to the Browns, then we've obviously got alot more problems than inconsistency.
I wouldn't take the Browns lightly and here is why.... This game is on Monday night and is their Super Bowl in front of the whole country. The Browns will come out fired up and will play good football Monday night for sure. If the Ravens make mistakes or come out flat this game could turn into a tight one. If you give a bad NFL team a slight chance to win they will pounce on it. Ravens must be prepared to play or a upset might happen.

The wife and I watch the games at a sports bar. Last week, a flag was thrown on the Tampa/Green Bay game and she turns to me and says "Wait about five seconds, I'll bet that flag was on us!" :229031_rofl:

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but doesn't 'playing like a raven' include not getting penalties? Through 8 games, we have the most penalty yards against us. By alot.

Here's the top five-

1. Baltimore- 73.8 ypg
2. Green Bay- 63.6 ypg
3. Dallas- 60.6 ypg
4. Detroit- 60.5 ypg
5. St. Louis- 59.6 ypg

So were averaging over 10 more yards given up from penalties than the 2nd place team. How pathetic is that? Oh and in case you were wondering, we only averaged 49.6 last year. We are beating ourselves and its making me sick.

Yeah, this would almost have "trap game" written all over it, except for the fact that we aren't an undefeated team sitting pretty at the top of our division.
