Is It The Shoes?

What is going on with our DB's? It seem that on a lot of plays these guys are tripping and falling or slipping and falling on the ground during big plays. What do you think is causing this to happen? Are we going to have to start calling these guys Trip and Fall? You can not play DB like this :bowdownsmiley: and make plays. :229031_rant:

You forgot "slide, stumble and slip." "Trip and Fall" are the corners, "Stumble and Slip" are the safeties, and "slide" is the nickel back.

There you have them all now; Trip, Fall, Slide, Stumble and Slip. That's the Ravens secondary.

They play like 5 year olds playing football, have you guys seen 5 year olds playing football? They slip and fall for no apparent reason either.

Maybe Ocho Cinco played a prank and tied their shoes together.

Then put dawn on the field, one big slip and slide.

Lets give credit where credit is due. Fox & Fabes probably tied their own shoes incorrectly.

That I'll have to agree with you on.

Funny because, Ladarius Webb only slipped once and that is when he went down and made a tackle. I don't understand how they are letting a Rookie outplay them.

In the action he saw he did look alot better then both CBs. I would hate to start a rookie CB but they have to try something!

ironic how Stan White made mention of this very thing during the game in the 1st half with Foxworth fallen down more times then he should have........this is the NFL right? I mean they have every type of cleat possible for the surface they are playing on

I wouldn't if Webb can get his chance to prove his worth, like he already has started doing. The guy has looked nearly flawless, and aware of what is going on around him.

Can I possibly say future playmaker?

This tread title is hilarious.. the sad part is I can actually picture a scenario where:

Fabian Washington on the field wondering why he keeps getting beat,thinking- "Is it the Shoes?"

Meanwhile Foxworth is asking-" WHICH WAY DID GO GEORGE.. Which WAY DID HE GO.. :th_sneak-1:

:empty trophy case:
Right On, that pretty much sums it up. I think, they are doing it on purpose, just to have an excuse for getting beat deep.

Well when you bring in a guy who was traded for a 7th round pick to be your starter, chances are that dude is WHACK. What irks me is how in the world do the coaches not see how bad they are. Since week 1 Carr has been HORRIBLE just plain ol Horrible yet he plays every week. Not addressing our weaknesses is what is killing us.

It was a 4th round pick for Washington not a 7th. And while I'm an dumbfounded by our play in the secondary as everyone else, lets not forget that the only signifigant change in our secondary is the absense of Rolle. Other than that all our starters are the same. They just aren't playing very well. The only other change is at nickel with Carr. And before you go and thrown Carr under the bus try and remember that if we didn't sign Carr it would be Walker out there. So pick your poison.

I have never seen a secondary that trips and falls as much as our's and I can not understand why. I could see if it was because of wet grass but these guys are falling on dry field turf. Maybe for the pre-game we can put a slip and slide out and see who can come up with the best slip and fall! :229031_rofl:

We need to get Barry Glazer on the case. He says right in his commercial, "slip, trip, and fall cases are among the hardest to prove."

With the Foxworth, he slips all the time because he bails the second the ball is snapped. I've never seen him go into an actual backpedal and sustain until the receiver makes a cut in or outside.

He instantly turns his back on the QB, and gets turned around almost the second the WR comes off the LOS. Ive never seen a corner play so awkwardly in my life.

Neither have I. I don't know whether it's a confidence or technique problem or both.

See thats the thing, two horrible players (Carr and Walker) what do coaches see in them? through 9 weeks they have given up A lot of PI calls and touchdowns. Cut those two and get someone who can actually play. Heck Ty Law was out there and we didnt even make a bid for him.
