I say try him at starting CB and try out Zibby or Nakamura at strong safety for a few games. What we are doing now aint working
I couldn't agree more. The Browns have an atrocious passing game and it arguably got worse now that Quinn is back at the helm. Get the young guys out there and let's see what they can do.

Zibikowski and Nakamura need to get some PT too. It's about time the team really finds out if they have a capable back-up in either guy or simply career special teams players.

Side note on Zibikowski and Nakamura. On the Ravens depth chart Zibikowski is listed as a FS behind Reed and Nakamura is listed as a SS behind Landry. I would have thought it would be the other way around.

That's interesting. I would've thought so too. Nakamura is a big hitter but I doubt he could support the run as well as Zibikowski.

Bruce Cunningham just reported on his radio show that Webb is likely start because Fabian is hurt. It's going to suck to see Carr playing nickel but I really hope Webb can get the start.

Keep in mind Ladarius is still a rookie. Although Fabian and Chris Carr aren't very impressive right now they'll still start mainly due to seniority. I could see him having a larger impact next year. Maybe even a number 2 cornerback.

I know what you mean but Fabian is supposedly hurt and may not be able to go. Carr was already losing time to Webb before Webb had the solid game against Cincy. He's obviously the better player. If Fabian can't go, I think Webb will get the start.

Then you switched it up.

Id definately start Webb. While were at it we should take out Ed Reed let him rest up for Indy, put in Zbi and Nakamura with the occasional switch in and out of Landry. If we could deactivate Mcclain and activate Kruger that would be awesome.

In my opinion, Webb did his job today. He didn't do anything spectacular, but none of the defense did either. Ed missed 2-3 HUGE tackles, and the fumble he caused was sheer luck. I still think chris carr should be cut. Did you see him today? talkin trash. "I don't think anyone's caught a ball on me all year." He said recently. This kid isn't good at football. I kept telling my wife when he was takin punts that were lucky he doesnt pull a boller and muff it. I'm not jumpin off the bandwagon with the team this year, but 7-9 is what i'm thinking itll turn out to be. And with McGahee, Mason, And Lewis questionable after this year, I'm worried for the next few years. But yanno, as they say: Winning cures all.
I agree, I close my eyes when Carr is on the field taking punts. He needs to go. Start Webb!!

Honestly i don't like Chris Carr haha. He's cost me two games of madden (4 fumbled punts combined) And against the Bengals the first time we played them this year, he FELL covering Andre Caldwell.

like seriously Carr? Quite frustrating.

Webb on the other hand has returned 3 kicks for me in madden along with 3 pick-sixes.

Even thoguh that's madden i still like the way he plays in real life. He just needs more gas in the tank so he doesnt get tackled on the 1 bringing a kick to the hosue . i was honestly scared that would've happened haha

If Fabian is out, then this could be the game that Webb gets his shot and never looks back. Here's to a nice long and happy relationship between Webb and our beloved Ravens.

I see. My point though wasn't that he shouldn't start its that some of the people were making him seem like the next Champ Baily and all we have to do is play him and all our problems would be solved. I was trying to temper everyones expectations a little. He is a rookie and will play like it at times.

Which is completely true, but at least there are going to be the times when he breaks up a pass, tackles a HB at the LOS, doesnt get out muscled on a jump ball, and is willing to stick his nose in and get dirty and press somebody at the line. With Fox and Fabian all we have is the getting beat, so ill take getting beat with a rookie who actually will make some plays to make up for it. Not just constant negative. Like in all honesty who here is legitimately surprised when those two actually break up a pass cuz i know i am.

When Webb tackled Benson on that outside run, I legitimately thought it was Ed Reed.

Yeah he tackles like a young Ed Reed.

I'm very surprised when I see any of our corners bat down passes, and I always expect a flag on the rare occasions that it happens.

Its crazy how bad our corners are. We go from having the best corner tandem in the NFL in Rolle and C-mac to having fox and fabian. lol

Reminiscing on such greatness makes me feel sick when I look at our current situation. Save us from ourselves!

I have to say this guy is brilliant! His play, intelligence, and nose for the ball are well beyond that of a rookies. Now, I have to rewind to the draft.....People we busting on Ozzie for picking this guy up. I bet nobody is complaining now. Just another Mention

Webb, Ellerbe, Oher = 3 Rookies that are playing at an elevated level. Guess Ozzie did do a good job with the draft

I agree. He was the best player out there. He was the only guy I saw any intensity from.

But Harbs should still stick a knife in the game ball. And then set in on fire.
PuRock, give the Ravens D credit man. They showed up! Ray L was pumped the whole game.

What more does this guy have to do to start? In my opinion he would do better then Fox!

I have no idea man, and it pisses me off to no end. I'm mad because it has taken the coaches half a season to realize that he should be out there more, and they are still hesitant. WHY ON EARTH IS CARR STILL RETURNING KICKS??

Carr returns punts. Webb fumbled a few too many times in pre-season and they like his hustle and aggressiveness as a blocker on punt return coverage.
