Bright Spots

My only bright spot was seeing Kelly Gregg AND Justin Bannon make it through this game ALIVE after being slammed repeatedly to the ground by those "big hefty mens" on the Bengals O-line.

One bright spot is that we may have a great young CB in Lardarius Webb. As a rookie he's twice as strong/tough/physical as Foxworthless and Fabs.

Paul Kruger???????????????

Kruger alone isnt going to be enough. We get no pass rush when we are rushing our front 4. If we are going to use a 4-3, we have to get pressure out of the base defense and we dont get the pressure unless we blitz db's and lb's.

We dont have the defensive personel to run Mattison's "scheme". We've got one of two options, draft players to run Mattison's scheme, that would require another DE that can pass rush or find a DC thats going to adapt his scheme to our personel.

Another bright spot was seeing Ben Grubbs pancake Geathers (91) of the Bengals. The replay showed this to be one of the most violent hits of the season by a Ravens O-lineman. Grubbs almost severed his body into two parts, at the waist.

I hate to pull the "we're too old" card, but our D-line is getting long in the tooth. We will need to replace them fairly soon anyway, so we could bring in the personnel to run Mattison's scheme.
I hope we just bring in a new DC though. I'm not about to blame Mattison for the players missing tackles or not understanding the finer points of batting down passes, but his stubborn insistence on using the 4-3 does not make me feel encouraged about his coordinating skills.

On the Bright side we only paid suggs 68 million unlike 100 million like the skins did with Haynesworth.

On the bright side, Edgar Jones got snaps today at DE. Your really going to tell me that dude with his 4 ST tackles, deserves to be on the field more than Kruger. And that Edgar FREAKIN Jones offers more to HELP the team WIN every sunday than Paul Kruger could? I can only imagine the intensity and fire Kruger would bring to the D after he's sat in sweat pants the last 8 weeks. You telling me he wouldnt give his all every play, and do his job, and do whatever it takes to win, much like Webb has been doing the past 2 weeks? Yet we have guys like Edgar Jones and David Tyree taking roster spots.

Webb is the real deal.

Yes he is, and I hope our coaches can see it as well... I'd like to see him start Monday night in Cleveland.

Ray Rice, Ladarius Webb.

I grilled some really great NY strip steaks for the game. I also missed the first Cincy scoring drive. That's a bright spot lol.

Like everyone said, the only bright spots were Rice. Even though he didn't get many holes, Rice always kept his legs churning and got tough yards. He was fighting to the last whistle.

It was definitely a joy to watch Webb on defense. He made two great tackles in run support, another two on WR screens and looked solid in coverage. He needs to be the full-time nickel.

Atleast Bengals will beat out the Steelers for the division?

For real though, if Webb doesnt get a starting job after this game I will be shocked. Rotate Foxworth and Fabian together. AKA Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.
