Merged: Criticism Of The Offense

I love your descriptive thread title.

But on topic. We weren't getting the time. K-Wash doesn't have the speed to get down field. D-Will. There must be something wrong with him, that we don't know.

Why else do we never attempt to use him?

I actually felt sorry for Flacco. Mason and Clayton did a terrible job fighting for the ball today.
Prior to this year. Mason always been good at this. Coming back for the ball on broken plays. I've never seen this out of Clayton.

But it's not all on them. Flacco was bad this game. He kept trying to force balls, specifically to Mason.

After first half of terrible football on both sides you would think ravens would have come out in the 3rd qt in a hurry up offence to try and get into a rythum but did we see it not until 4th qt .I think this was a game lossing mistake. As soon as we did a hurry up offence we got a TD. I guess we really didn't learn anything from last weeks game it's ashame i love my ravens and i just think the coaching on both sides offence and defence is making mistakes that make the team look worse than they are.We have he talent just need the coaching.

A lot of how we are loosing games is the fact that we come out slow and can't put any pressure on the opposing defenses with sustained drives. The receivers seem to have a big problem getting open unless they are single covered.

Yeah something def. up with Williams, thats not being released to the public, fans should realize harbaughs politically-correct/non-informative approach when it comes to player personal/playing time concers.. Doghouse or no Doghouse, we cant afford to not use all the players on the roster at this point..

What merited the -1.

The fact that K-wash doesn't have the speed and we didn't have protection for time? Or the fact that since D-Will isn't starting because something must be wrong with him?

Please note, both are facts.

Mark Clayton made a mistake on the play, the CB basically took it over top of him. Clayton just wanted it to drop in his hands instead of attacking the football or jumping.

Prob one of these newbie fanboy members. I fixed it for you.

Your absolutely correct. If their not gonna play him, he should be inactive and Kruger should dress. We need pass rush.

It still doesn't make sense to me why we would draft a player who can't play special teams in the 2nd round. Oh well...

Games losing mistake was the Ravens don't have any heart with the exception of Rice and Webb.
I dont know about that but. The one person the pissed me off was Ed Reed he missed 2 tackles on the same guy when all he had to do was wrap up instead he tries to arm tackle by swinging the dude.

Much appreciated. A lot of things amaze me this year. I think its about time we let the young guys go wild. Let's see what they can do.

Webb, Kruger, Rice, D-Will. Give the kids some candy. Let's see what we really got.

Defence did it job in the second half it was the offence that never got into the game except for one drive witch lasted 2.43 minutes in a no huddle to little to late and of coures missed field goal on the 38 yrd line what a bum.

I know. But its fun to point it out though. I never technically disagreed with the original poster.

I would love to see what D-Will can do. But since he never plays, I have to believe there is something horribly wrong with him.

Perhaps one of D-Will's legs is one inch shorter than the other. Causes him to run routes slightly to the left.

Who knows. But it's really frustrating not seeing all the WRs play. Honestly watching the Offense play is sometimes frustrating as well.

Awful game - I had a feeling this was going to happen. The "D" didn't play that badly; the "O", never got off the bus, they were there with special teams playing cards or something not football. Once again this team showed up for a game unprepared.

Once again I'm calling out Harbaugh. It wasn't a player or a couple players, playing badly, once again it was the whole team. Same people making the same dumb mistakes, no heart or fire or plan from the Offense. Harbaugh is not an NFL coach.

Oh yeah, missing Stover YET!!!!!

How bad does it have to get before Harbaugh gets held accountable??????

Perfect Solution: Hauschka kicks to D. Williams. :)

I'm looking forward to next year when we have our stud rookie receiver, Dez Bryant.

You can put some of the blame on Harbaugh but this is just his second year so time will tell.

However, when a game like this goes bad, it's an all around effort. Coaches and players. This game sorta reminds me of the Colts game last year. We got manhandled and couldn't even get back into it.

This game, we had chances (like all the other games we have lose) but nothing happened.

We are not a comeback team yet.

However, I do question certain roster choices.

Why do we have Kruger? a 2nd round pick?
Why are we still carrying Williams? just for depth? He's one of our youngest receivers, give him some chances.

I share your dislike for what this team has done today but this was an all around bad day.

Could not agree more. Our starters aren't getting the job done - so bring in the first/second round draft picks and see what they can do. We need to turn this season around now - not later.

The D didnt do the O any favors. The O was on the field for what 4 mins in the 1st quarter. They were already down by 14 by the time they touched the ball a second time. Its hard to get something going on O, when your defense allows the opposing offense to eat 10 minutes of the 1st quarter AND walk away with two TD's.

Maybe it is me but as much as I like Ray Rice, I'm starting to think something is very wrong with our offense. Ray Rice is leading our team in Reception with 46 for 436 yards and Rushing with 108 rushes for 573 yards. This is very strange to me! :34853_shakehead:

It's not strange, it's awful when you think about it. I always thought of Ray Rice as MJD for this team. MJD is like the Jaguars backbone. The team goes as he goes. He's someone that when he has the ball in his hands, he does damage. Proof was with Ray Rice. Rice in open space, dude is a monster. He's probably one of the most effective runners from out of the shotgun.. I think like every play they run out the shotgun with him, it's some positive yards.

Nevertheless, when we had our first possession, it was a typical, run where it backed us up and then Flacco had to make some pickup yards. To me, yeah.. we are down 7-0, but let's enforce our own will on the defense and not be conservative with the playcalling. Let Flacco get into a rhythm with his WR's but it never got like that until what? The 4th quarter?
