I thought it was brilliant

You have to love the bright orange shoes when it came to overturning the call--I thought it was funny--but I'll bet Chad gets in trouble.

This song sums up the Ravens season.

Warning. Bad language. Jay-Z is a potty mouth.

Mod note: If you aren't allowed to say it, don't post a link to it.

Too many people giving up the season, we are at 4-4 and getting the wild card isn't out of reach. The Colts helped us by beating the Texans and NE did us a favor by beating the Dolphins. Both of which were in the wild card hunt. Looking at the rest of the schedule:

Week 10: @ Cleveland: Win, 5-4

Week 11 vs Indy: Win, Upset of the Week 6-4

Week 12: vs Pittsburgh: Win, I still think we spilt with the Steelers, 7-4

Week 13: @ Green Bay: Win, they just lost to Tampa and they have the worst oline in the league. 8-4

Week 14: Vs Detroit: Win, 9-4

Week 15: vs Chicago: Win 10-4

Week 16: @ Pittsburgh: Lose 10-5

Week 17: @ Oakland: Win, Ravens match their win total from a year ago 11-5. Or 10-6 if we lose to Indy.

With 11-5 we probably get the 6th seed, maybe the 5th if we are lucky. 10-6 probably 6th seed or no playoffs. Looking at this schedule though we might have been swept by the Bengals, the Bengals don't have a cake walk to the division title. I'm looking at their schedule and they could finish 11-5 or 10-6 or 9-7 who knows. The Steelers look like they could finish 11-5 or 12-4 as well based off their schedule. 12-4 if they beat the Broncos, 11-5 if they lose Monday Night. This division race isn't over by any means. It's going to come down to Week 17. DON'T GIVE UP HOPE!

Thanks for your perspective. Let's hope we can do as good or even better than your prediction.

Thats my fear. Cinci could have a meltdown but can we win enough games and will they lose enough games, that the tiebreaker wont matter. We have to win 6 of our last 8 to even have a shot at the wildcard, which means they have to lose 5 of the last 8. I dont see that happening. If they can be counted on to take the division and we can split with Pitt than we may be able to get a tiebreaker over Pitt but I dont see it.

I don't see it happening either, but if one of the division leaders were to have a meltdown, I think it would be the Benglas rather than the Steelers. But just like most of our losses, Bengals meltdown would be too little too late.

I was furious whilst watching, I've since had an exam and time to compose myself. So here are my thoughts.

Out of the gate, we were not ready to play. Cincinnati came out ready to go, and we were far from focussed. Obviously, mental mistakes crept back in early, with costly penalties and missed tackles the chief contributors in us being down 14-0 early on. It quickly became apparent we were going to give up a 100 yard rusher again, which was disappoiting also. Gap discipline was lost several times, and a running back in Benson's form will always exploit that.

Our offense never settled in. I thought we were so aware of the fact Cincinnati had the 30th ranked pass defense that we forced deep passes, which, to the credit of the Bengals corners, were picked off. I believe some shorter passes and running would have been far more effective, I feel like we really missed chances to move the ball by opting for high-risk, quick scores. Even if they worked, our defense was gassed, so scoring straight away does them no benefit. Not using up any clock was critical, as tired defenses make more mistakes as they are worn down.

To our credit, the defense fought back and started to assert itself more in the second half. But the aforementioned miscues meant the comeback was always going to be hard. The nail in the coffin was that Hauschka miss. I like the kid, but that's another kick blown under pressure. My concern there is if kicks in sunshine and no wind or in domes are being missed now, what will happen when its blowing a gale and raining? I must say I was surprised by how good Cincinnati's defense played, credit must be given there.

In summary, we were too late to get into the game. Chances to regain momentum were blown with defensive errors or offensive miscues. Credit to Benson, Palmer, Ochocinco and the rest of the Bengals for asserting themselves from the get go.

My Ravens game ball goes to Lardarius Webb. Great coverage, excellent tackling too. He was head and shoulders above the rest of the team. Ray Rice and Ray Lewis also played well I thought.

The season is not over though, still a long way to go. Nothing is certain yet, I still think we're a good shot at the playoffs! Let's get a comprehensive primetime win in Cleveland and get back on track! :baltimore-ravens:

The whole team just looked lackadaisical out there yesterday. Same feeling from the last cincy game. No pressure, no coverage on D. No one open, no blocking on offense. Joe Cool looked like Joe Dirt, and the coaches gameplan was CRAP!!!!

Our only hope is that cincy just had our number this year, and we can bounce back in a big way to scratch our way into the playoffs. Its gonna take a sweep of the remaining NFC north as well as either beating indy and 1/2 from Pitt or sweeping the steelers. Its not impossible, we just need to play with some fire. And for god sakes, let webb start! :190048:
