btw, if you have it for PC... this mod is very useful (its one that allows you to respec your characters... this way you don't have to start over

It only happened once, played a couple hours afterwards. I was trying to enter a building, started loading the inside, then crashed. I just quicksave before entering a new area now.

idk depending on how long it is..... games can take up to 2 years to complete (like CoD and what not)

Im stuck at this one part where you gotta keep hitting this thing hainging from the ceiling and there 4 rocks around it and spirts keep coming out from it and u gotta hit thoses also im not sure the chapter but i cant beat it i gave up a few months ago haha any hints

is it the part where the thing keeps spinning..

if so you gotta completely fade all 4 of the faces out.... and each time you kill a spirit it knocks it down 1 phase

and each face has 3 phases

Well, finally finished it today! An absolute brilliant game.
And it only took me about 110 hours.

First was a dwarven rogue, think I'm gonna try an Elvish mage next....

That makes sense, since there's no choice between commoner (or whatever they call it) and noble. I'm guessing that once the origin story is over, it's pretty much the same afterwards.

more or less, you'll be treated differently depending on your race.... and you'll run into someone you recognize later on... in fact I think it is like that for all of the origins

Yea, I'm sure it makes a difference if you play a male or female too. My male dwarf was "offered a deal" from Morrigan that she couldn't offer a female.

If any of you have steam they have a 33% off on just plain Origins and Origins Digital Deluxe Edition.... if you have the money laying around and love RPG's especially one's in which your choices effect the world around you.... this is a must have

I know its been out for appx 6 months now....
and if your PC can run it... go for it

I just started it last night

not to far into it right now, but so far I like it, but I'm also not very picky about it too much either..

however there are a few things I don't like so far...

i.e.
-You can't start a conversation like you could in Origins
-So far just about all of your team is gone w/o an explanation (some make an appearance or two so far)
-[spoiler] one of your so called "companions" (whom I grew fond of early on) dies in like the first 30 minutes - hour of gameplay[/spoiler]
-Most of your DLC stuff doesn't transfer (I.E. Warden's keep, and the stuff in the Warden's Keep Storage won't transfer) [Note: I did however notice some of the Warden's Keep gear for sale @ a vendor in one of the cities]

some things I do like
-[spoiler] you can make any and every single one of your comrades go through the joining [/spoiler]
-You start off with your own personal storage chest (note, does not have your items in the Warden's Keep chest with them)
-The characters have some pretty decent convo's between one another (much like the original)
-New Spec's make for even more interesting gameplay

I agree with the rating I saw (I think from IGN) for an 8(or 8.5) out of 10

I have noticed it likes to crash every once in a while... and I'm pretty sure its not my computer causing it.... granted that happened a few times in Origins too (namely the end... I also had like 3 windows open + the game, in which alot of commotion was taking place)

if you loved the first game I'd say buy it now...
if you play it for PC and you do want to wait, don't forget to check steam and direct2drive (note steam needs the steam version of Origins to install awakening) but I have noticed quite a few deals on there

okay, idk if it's awakening or patch 1.03 (from the forums on their site it looks like the patch) but the game keeps crashing .... I'd say steer clear of 1.03 if you are still playing this game until the come up with a fix for it (idk if you've DL'd it or not yet)


and its not like its just 1-2 crashes ..... it does it at random times... with out any real warning making progress into the actual game hard because you have to constantly save... otherwise you have a pretty good risk of losing all of your progress

I finaly got the game about a month ago with my new video card in MSI Radeon HD4770 Cyclone , this game runs like butta. to be honest the comedy can get a bit raunchy so I play it with headphones so my little one dont hear it . the cinimatics and conversations are mazing lets not to mention the commentary by Shayle...lol her comment should be Trevor Pryce when talking about the Steelers , now come lets go find some bad people to pound into a fine paste

My favorite is when you're leaving the town, and you hear a minor earthquake and a chicken squack and shale is just sitting there like "What?"

I'm borrowing this game from my cousin right now and I gotta say I am getting into it, I don't know why it took me so long to pick up this game. It's very similar to Baldur's Gate which is made by the same people with a little less action. I like how it is more in depth though with skills and spells more like of D&D style. I'm going to max out my entropy and most likely my cold and lightning.
