Dirtiest Players In The NFL

77 posts in this topic

I don't think either of these players play dirty. They are high energy players and go all out every play. Ray popped Ocho in a helmet to helmet hit. Everyone here watching with me said that was a dirty hit. I told them Ray Ray was not a dirty player. He just plays all out. It was not a malicious hit. Though his fine was to high. I love watching Ray Ray and Troy play. I truly hope Troy's injury is not serious and he comes back soon.

Surprised to see Polamalu.

Also surprised to see Ray Lewis ahead of Bart Scott

Everyone will have their own definition. But I saw Hines Ward interviewed before Bengals game 1. He said regarding breaking keith rivers jaw in three places, "No I am not sorry and if I get the chance I will do it again this game." Hines is clearly a dirty player. As is Joey Porter. When NFL Players say they are glad someone got hurt (ie.. Carson Palmer), or I will do it again, the league should be looking at these guys closely. Physical is one thing. Violent is another. It is a rough game but their is no room for people seeking to injur people. Just my humble opinion.

Everything that I have ever seen or read about Hines Ward says that that is BS.

Apparantly, we do not have the same sources.

“I’ll still hit him,” Ward said Wednesday in Pittsburgh. “I’ll just get fined.

So what do you want him to say? Bengal dude up there was making it sound like Hines said that he'd gladly hurt him again when that is complete crap. Anyone who honestly believes that is kidding themselves. Hines reached out to the guy after that game and that hit WAS NOT dirty to begin with. I can show you the same hit by Ray Lewis on a missed FG return and there were no repercussions from it (nor should there have been). But when it's Hines Ward, it's all about rule changes and what a dirty player he is. Gimme a break.

first of all you took that way out of context.....what he is talking about is that he would make the same block again.....not break his jaw again....he doesnt want to hurt people but he also is not going to stop playing all out because people call him dirty or fine him

thats all he is saying

You know its funny when i read comments like this about hines because i view him sooooooo differently then alot of rival fans do

people say his smile is a sign he likes to hurt people

i view it as a sign that the guy just loves football....he smiles after bad plays too

you beat me to what I was gonna say

people consider him dirty because he's an unorthodox WR.... not too many of them enjoy playing defense on offense

that being said... I still hate him with a fiery passion

Don't get me wrong. I am not trying to be just a homey. Rivers even said the hit was clean and that is just football. I have no complaints with a fiery player going all out. It is what I love about Ray Ray and Troy. It is just hearing the interview and him saying he would do it again made it sound as if he was gonna try to hurt him again. Maybe I did take the comment out of context. But being voted number 1 on the dirty list makes me wonder if I am not the only one doing so.

I never get upset about a player smiling after a great play. Why play the game if you don't enjoy it? And he is good at what he does. Just wish he had made his statement a little more clear by saying I would make the hit again if I got the chancce but I never like seeing a fellow NFL player injured. Maybe I am asking to much?

Well of course our local news is only going to show the one interview they think is mean so maybe I am not cutting him enough slack.

i can see how he can be viewed as dirty through a certain lense

but he just plays hard and goes all out and sometimes people get hurt but thats not his intention
