  1. 1. IF Billick were to make a return which team do you think could use him the most?

With all the chaos going on with a couple of franchises, do you see a return for Billick? Maybe at the Redskins? Zorn might be gone at the end of this year. Browns? Panthers? John Fox is on thin ice. Even the Bills with Dick Jauron possibly getting let go. Heck, even the Radiers...I doubt he would want to go there but money talks haha.

Redskins, maybe Carolina but I doubt Fox gets fired, hes been there so long and been pretty successful as a coach that I cant see them dumping him for Delhomme being trash. Another place is the Jags, Del Rio prob would have been fired last year had his contract not had so much money left on it.

I see Billick going to Buffalo. He wants to establish the run and play defense. Which are fundamentals the Bills want. Plus there's always the hope that he'll bring some of his Minnesota offensive mind with him (never did in Baltimore).

Billick's too smart to go to Oakland or Washington. But I wouldn't be surprised if its the Browns either.

how many years are left on Billick's contract? If i remember correctly there were 3 years remaining @5mil/yr when he was fired. That means he cant take another coaching job until the 2011 season if he wants to get all his money from the Ravens.

Yeah, he'll wait until the Ravens are done paying him before he takes another Head Coaching position.... or rather, if I were him I would wait.

Yea but these guys love to coach and be on the field. It always eats them up inside when they aren't out there. They can do it for 1 maybe 2 years max. But sooner or later, they want to be coaching and doing what they love. Even if they are getting paid to do nothing.

I dont think he will go to Carolina, if Fox gets fired, Carolina will try to get Cowher
[/quote]

And Cowher would love to go there. He's a Carolina boy himself. It's a match made in heaven. I see that happening 100%.

That is true, I forgot about Cowher. Now that I think about it, wasnt Dan Snyder interested in getting Gruden for a visit? Also it would be pretty cool to see Billick go to Buffalo and breathe life back into the team. Always will have a soft spot for him, wish him good luck on whatever life brings him next. Hes doing a great job on Fox and NFL Network.

Because my family supports the Redskins, I'd want him to go to Washington -- but conventional wisdom says he wouldn't succeed there. He needs a solid GM to put the pieces in place, and even though there are some good players there, they're not the right mix of talent. Vinny Cerrato is essentially of the GM of the organization even though his official title is VP of Football Operations (with Dan Snyder telling him what to do), and he's far from an Ozzie Newsome type.

Not only that, but Snyder's meddling ways would clash with Billick's need for control. We may have seen Billick's ego as a bad thing towards the end of his run here in Baltimore, but it served him well as a coordinator for the Vikings and as a head coach in his initial years with the Ravens. Billick is a football mind that knows what he's doing, and if an owner interferes, that pairing won't last long.

Billick + Snyder = recipe for disaster. Same with Billick + Al Davis.

Snyder and Davis are both disasters in and of themselves.

yeah hes got a house in Raleigh as is, he also wants a team that he can build, so if he does end up getting the carolina job, the staff is gonna be gone, as are a lot of the players

Honestly, I think Danny Snyder is so disgusted by the way the coaches ruin his team (speaking from his point of view). That he leaves the suit on but adds a headset and starts coaching the team himself next year.

honestly I could see

billick with the bills
gruden with the browns
cowher with the panthers
shannahan with the skins (possibly, maybe the browns)

and don't forget about our quarterbacks coach
as much as we'd hate to see him go, and with the jump flacco made, he will definately be getting some attention
