Crazy Week 8 For Fantasy Stories

6 posts in this topic

Indeed, a crazy week for fantasy football this week. Funny story from the Monday night Falcons-Saints game. So I started Matt Ryan as my QB this week. He was down 3 pts until Ryan threw a TD pass to Roddy White, but wait! The call was reversed, clearly he didn't have possession of the ball, still down 4 pts. No sweat though, still plenty of time left. Ryan gets the ball back and gets me the yardage to win the game by 2.65 pts. Elam bangs the FG in, Falcons still down 35-27. Unfortunately for me, the Falcons recover the onside kick and I have a gut feeling Ryan's gonna throw the hail mary, all I'm hoping for is that the Saints just bat it down. NO!!!! Ryan's hail mary goes right into Darren Sharper's hands who makes the pick negating 3 pts off my score. Needless to say I lost the game by 0.45 points. I'm interested to know if anyone else has an interesting fantasy story like this.

Nothing along that line.

I was tied with my opponent going into the Green Bay game. He had Favre and Ryan Grant. I had Adrian Peterson, Mike-Sims Walker and Nate Washingon.

I thought I had this game bagged. Needless to say. Favre upstaged everyone. Mike-Sims Walker who was suppose to be a beast put up 3 points for me. His team won by 28. Thanks Favre.

Favre actually helped me lose last week as well. When he threw two pick sixes. I lost the game because the other team had The Steelers D.

Favre is really starting to piss me off, fantasy-wise.

Damn man that's rough I would have thought you had that game rapped up. Another crazy story from fantasy football this season was when I tied my game, but lost because my opponent scored more touchdowns than me. It seems I always get screwed over with B.S. losses

Yea tying rules vary from league to league. I'm a commish in one of my leagues and I use to have the team who's bench scores the most points, breaks the tie. But this year I changed it to leave it as a tie.

There's nothing wrong with a tie. I think that's how it should be. None of this shoddy tie-breaking rules.

Week 1 through the final stages of the fantasy week, I was down by a couple of points, all up to Aaron Rodgers and Greg Jennings to win it for me.

Last stretch of the game, I'm losing by 10 or 15 points. I need both of them to get something to put it over the top.

Aaron Rodgers throws a 30 yard TD to who else? Greg Jennings.

I end up winning by exactly 3 points because of that one play.
