Denver Broncos

Ok, now that the next Ravens game will be against Cincy, I'm going to post this in Other Nfl Teams. This isn't to talk trash or anything, but after I heard stories of the kind of class the Broncos players demonstrated yesterday I figured I'd say something because I didn't see much posted about it.

Today I was listening to Bruce and Mike Preston on 105.7 and Bruce was talking about how Foxworth went up to Brandon Marshall after the game to shake hands, and Marshall knocked his hand away and ran into the tunnel. I wonder why Ozzie wasn't willing to dish out a first rounder and a dumptruck full of cash for THAT guy?

I also heard that Moreno came out to the Ravens logo at midfield and posed before the game. Then he blows kisses to the crowd after he barely squeezed into the endzone, also after Ed Reed destroyed him and caused him to fumble the ball.

Sounds like the Ravens gave them the perfect medicine for those inflated egos in Denver.

yeah i saw that, it was what, 13-0, moreno scores, and does that...i was wondering why he was blowing kisses when his team and QB are being made to look like rookies

but hey, baltimore gave the steelers a good blueprint, lets just hope they use it

Why would we want the Steelers to use our "blue print"? Last I checked, we're still behind in the standings, so we need Pitts to lose a few more games. The only logical explanation I have is that you are a Steeler fan. Other than that, the statement makes no sense otherwise.

I hadn't heard about the Marshall ordeal, but that is pretty disrespectful and, well, immature. Seems Marshall is a sore loser, eh? No amount of cash or good statistics can fix his attitude problem. Glad Ozzie was smart enough not to pick him up. They may only have been team mates for a year, but c'mon, so a little respect, Marshall.

As for Moreno... yeah... He had a big head, and couldn't tell when it was time to quit with the ego. He did next to nothing (aside from that squeeze into the end), gets laid out by Reed (and fumbles the ball), yet still decides to make a fool out of himself with that absolutely silly looking "kiss".

Actually, I don't think we're giving Moreno enough credit. He may have come off as egotistical with the kiss, but really, he was just kissing the game good bye, and he knew it. I applaud you Mr. Moreno, for welcoming your first loss with such public affection.

This'll sound horrible, but honestly, I think a lot of it is because they haven't been winning like that in a long time in Denver, the start of last season notwithstanding. The players just aren't used to winning the way they had to start this season, especially with a new coaching staff all across the board. So of course they'll act like they've never been there before.

But I could just be making excuses for them. Who knows. All I know is, we'll all be ironically rooting for them this coming Sunday against the Steelers.

I guess that's what happens when you're undiciplined, overhyped garbage. This isn't the AFC West. We don't pose, we kick your @$$.

I hope to see more of it next Monday night too.

Pretty good chance of that, Harrison has awoken the last few games, Woodley has been playing solid too.

Their Team and Fans act about the same I see, I have not seen SAFE so busy since the Eagles game last year.

I'm not going to judge the whole team on the actions of two idiots. I kind of have to agree with The Franchise, the Broncos aren't used to respect and probably don't know what to do with it.

I dont know why anyone would be surprised that Marshall is such a sore loser. Isnt this the same guy that wore his pj's to practice and kicked the football because he wasnt getting his way. I expect nothing more from him, he's already proven he's immature and childish.

As for Moreno and the attitude of Bronco players in general, you have to look to the coaching staff for that. The saying is the team takes on the personality of their head coach. Josh McDanials isnt exactly a humble guy, imo. So, I dont expect his players to be either.

Werd, I work with a guy that also works for safe. Said he threw out 7 broncos fans in three separate incidents just in one section all before the half. Too bad they didn't get to witness the beatdown

it also helps havin troy back, since harrison and woodley can get after the QB instead of dropping back into coverage, which killed us in the chicago and cincy games

Still don't know if Ryan Clark is going. I wouldn't if I were him and I think that kinda hurts too.

When the heck is Denver (and the Chiefs for that matter) going to come to our stadium????

As much as I want the Steelers to lose, it is not worth it to Clarks health. That altitude is murder.

when the steelers played in denver in 07, clarks sickle cell acted up and attacked his body, which is why he lost his spleen and was put on IR that year.

Doctors cleared him to play, said the risk of anything happenening close to that is minimal, so now its just up to clark if he plays, and coach T will decide if he lets him make the trip or not

I for one hope he does play, since he was cleared

What Griever said. It affected him when he was with Washington too. Anytime he gets into high altitude and exerts himself he's subject to it. He actually was near death even after he got back to Pittsburgh.

That's surprising to me. For some reason, I thought Denver was more laid back than that. ...Not that a locales' general demeanor is necessarily passed on to its sports fans. Maybe it's all that Coors...

I also think Clark should stay home. Sure, I want the Steelers to lose, but that aside, the man should think of his health. If there's even a small chance that the altitude could hurt him, he shouldn't chance it. And, again, not that I want the Steelers to win, but better for him to be there for the long run and just not one game - or more importantly - to be there for the long run with his family, which is more important than one game.

I think he should stay home for the Ravens games, too. Have a little party with Ben and Troy, watching the game together.

Thats surprising from Brandon Marshall. I thought he was good friends with Foxworth.

I still wouldn't mind having him on our team though. I think we would be able to fix that attitude of his, and his talent makes him worth it.

Unless you're a Steelers fan, what are you thinking?!

I'm (along with all the other Ravens fans) hoping for Denver to rebound from this and beat the Steelers silly.

Yes Demon, he's "one of them". :P

After hearing what Moreno did to the logo, I'm really glad Reed pummeled him. That's the best hit I've seen Reed deliver in quite some time.

Aww, that's sad. :(

Now about Washington. The Redskins play in Maryland, so if that was a problem then wouldn't playing in Baltimore be problematic as well?

Perhaps he lived in DC, which begs the questio: is the altitude actually high here? It really doesn't seem like it too me. Maybe I'm over analyzing this.

He risks getting seriously injured every time he puts his cleats on. If the risk is small, I can understand why he would want to play. Of course, I hope he doesn't go for one reason and one reason only.

Last time he lost his spleen and almost died. I think there's a difference - especially between what he's already seen can happen specifically to HIM and what is possible to happen to anyone playing sports.

Marshall is a grownup baby.. if any of you have seen the video of him punting balls away in practice because of his contract, you would know. Their fan showing here hasn't convinced me that their fanbase isn't much different either to be honest. The only decent Bronco fan I saw here was OrangeBlue guy

I think the Broncos main focus has to be protecting Orton so he can have time to stretch the field. If Pitt gets constant pressure, it will be a long game.

Yes, but that will be difficult to accomplish now that they've lost one of their o-linemen.

i would be more worried about the denver game if troy was out, since harrison and woodley would have to drop back into coverage more times than not, but with troy back, harrison and woodley can pin their ears back and go right for orton
