Part of it for me is that I spend all day at work reading lengthy emails and small numbers.

I jump on the forum to chat briefly, not so much to read long posts.

I'll generally + something if it makes me laugh, or if I was about to make the same or similar post, or if it makes me question what I was about to post.

I save my 2 negs a day for Shake generally. We all know he deserves them.

That Idea could work, but maybe instead of a suspension if someone starts a new thread and that post gets -10 than that thread is deleted. That way it cleans up the board a bit and the rep system would be updated.

Than maybe a Suspension can happen if say that user has a Neg 50 meaning he started 5 threads and each one got 10 negative reps.

Only you can see your warn status. Everybody has a "warn status" bar, but it can only be seen by the user.

Is your warn bar status filled at all? Or is it empty?

If you see your bar filled in, just click on the words "Warn Status" above the bar and you'll see why. If it has been more than 30 days and you've behaved since then, you can PM your favorite mod to get the warning reduced. If the warning was not for something really horrible, you might get your wish.

IMO, the Rep system is kinda silly & pointless but at the same time it cuts back on a lot of "I dis/agree" posts. It works fine as it is.
