Yea so my sister's BF is a army color guard guy and he got an extra ticket for me! They sit on the sidelines for the game so I will be too. I will be up close and personal with my favorite athletes in the world! Im excited. I feel that my fanhood is now complete. Hopefully my boys come through for me. Im pretty confident that we will win.

You mean they have "tickets" for sidelines? I would have thought they would issue "credentials or badges" or something.

You likely won't be on the sideline the entire game for security reasons (only players, coaches, and authorized personnel are allowed), but you'll be allowed there until the final 20 minutes right before kickoff, and then you may be allowed back for the final two minutes of the game, if I recall correctly.

Have fun with it. I remember my experience on the sideline. :)

That's kinda what I thought, but it sounds like an incredible experience though.

Just curious though, why would they be allowed back for the final two minutes? The color-guard has no ceremonial role to close the game and wouldn't the security risk be even greater, with a nail-biter coming down to the wire?

I think the idea is that the security risk posed is surveillance-type stuff. Like, allowing random people (even credentialed) to stand on the sideline for the majority of the game means someone could easily be privy to stuff they're not supposed to during the game (adjustments before they're made on the field, etc.) I don't know, it's hard to explain. Sarah Ellison and Mike Duffy (BR.com's ace bloggers) explained some of it to me when I was on the sideline. NFL's rules.

Okay guys, it was great today! SO amazing. we had folding chairs next to the endzone on the visitors side but I just walked along behind the becnch all game. And before the game, Ray Rice came out and ran right beside me and I got a hand slap from Chris Carr. Joe Flacco is so big! I also got an autograph from Michael Phelps.

Damn, that's cool! Can't believe they let you stroll along the bench all game long. But, I guess you're not really hurting anything, so long as you don't have an electronic device out that's recording anything (cell phones and cameras are strictly prohibited for everyone.)

Though, it's admittedly different being a kid on the sideline than being an adult. You kids get all these perks because you're young. ENJOY BEING A KID WHILE YOU CAN!

Yea man it was great. Can't wait to attend my next Ravens game regardless of whether I will be sitting in the stands or not.

Oh and the fans are hilarious. Cussing and complaining every play for a flag :). I must say though, Trevor Pryce does get held A LOT.

Hey guys I was on One Winning Drive haha. On the play where Dawkins gets to Flacco but he got it off to Rice and got a first down you can see me standing against the wall clapping. I was the one with the tan khaki(spelling?) pants and black shirt and jacket.

How loud was it there? It was the loudest I have ever heard our Stadium on TV. Camera shake, and on big 3rd down plays on both sides of the ball the sound would distort on the speakers at the climax of the screams. I had friends who went to the game and agree they have never heard it that loud. They said when ed reed made that big hit on Knowshon Moreno, and the ball popped out, the stadium felt like it was shaking.

Yes he does, it's absurd that it's never called! Glad you had a great time at the best stadium in the NFL.
