I almost forgot what it felt like to win. Boy, does it feel good.

Even better to halt an undefeated. We almost had that feeling 2 weeks ago.

we need to continue this until after the superbowl celebration.... even if we aren't one of the teams in it

No doubt, but one week at a time.

If it weren't for a crooked ref, we would have shut out an undefeated team. Way to go defense. Was great to see our CBs step up and play. This is what happens when you execute. I hope that after seeing how much better our defense is overall when our secondary can cover their assignments, the Matty bashing will stop and hold our players accountable for themselves.

Off to Cincy next week. Time to bring the division crown back home where it belongs.

It's good to see the team seemingly whipped into shape over the bye. That's the Ravens defense everyone knows and we love. Take it to Cincy, Baltimore.

Great complete victory.

Offense stayed paitent and capitalized on opportunities when given. Ray just keep chipping away in the running game and finally came through

Defense played fast tough and physical, but most importantly they played SMART. The passrush and coverage on the back end worked well together.

LarDarius Webb, provided a great spark with his return for a TD, and the coverage unit held Royal in check . Huashcka, might not have answered all questions but he definately put some concerns to rest.

The coaches also did a great job. After Mason's blow up, Harbs made sure the guys stayed together. Cam seemed to have a much better feel for the offensive weapons. Some people might still want more balance but u can't please everyone.

Mattison called a great game todady. From the first play of the game, his mindset was to harass Orton. Much like Huashcka, Mattison didn't silence all critics today, but he did enough to allow people to have a little more confidece that maybe all is not lost on D.

Great way to close out the game on offense. I think we ran the football on every play of that last drive, almost like the Redskin game last year.

All in all it was a really strong performance by the Ravens, but there's no time to rest on this game. We have a huge game in Cincy next week and it's must win for our Divisonal sake.

Oh yea, great to see Mr. Reed flying around the field today, laying wood and pressuring punters.

I don't mean to sound like I'm a pessimist, or taking away from our victory here... Let me start off by saying our Secondary played a pretty good game against their WR corps which rates as one of the top in the league, but this I really wouldn't consider a test for the secondary, because they give up the deep ball... and well Kyle Orton struggles throwing 20+ yards, kind of negating the big play.. if they play good again next week against cincy, then I'll eat my words... but just an observation which I'm calling as I see it

But, most of Denvers yards generally come from YAC so the Secondary did a great job of tacking and being in position to make plays on the ball.

indeed, and I really hope that this is true, and this is how we'll play for the majority of the season, but they've consistantly blown coverage further down field.... like I said before not taking anything away from their achievements this game, just trying to be a realist.... and like I said, if they prove it against cincy... or another team that has a serious deep passing game threat, I will gladly eat my words

Got to hand it to the secondary, when the completions were made they were on the Bronco's receivers like glue. Washington had a pretty good game, and hello MR. WEBB.
Flacco only threw for 175 and 1 td but hey I'd rather have little passing yards and a win then 400 yds and a loss.
Both cordinators seemed to have it together,Mattison and Cam .Double J started the game on the right tempo, and truthfully when he made that sack I said to myself the boys are back. Now will they stay lets hope so we got a few tough games ahead.Cincy here we come and hopefully we clip the kittens claws.

By the way heard on the OT on fox from Jerry Glazer's injury report that Ngata's ankle was x-rayed and it came back negative,so that's a good sign.

I'm thrilled with how we performed. Denver didn't play poorly, we said to them "Alright, this is going it's going to be on our field." I was thrilled to see the 3-4 back and our defense flying all over the place, it sent shivers down my spine. Heck, it was great seeing Ed hitting people like he did in his prime.

I'm just really proud of the boys, several players under fire performed very well. Heck, Chris Carr played well! Mark Clayton made superb catches under pressure.

Webb's kick return set us off, great to finally see a home run play in the kicking game again. This was a statement game for us, we fought hard and the passion and skill with which we played today made me proud to be a Ravens fan.

Onto Cincinnati, let's put the pussycats back in their place.

We should definitely start playing Webb more on defense. When he was out there, he was all over the place

Agreed... he's a playmaker and is learning under the best.

I loved the opening line to the article on NFL.com about the game:
"The Denver Broncos went from unbeaten to overmatched during a 60-minute beatdown by the Baltimore Ravens."

When Coach Harbaugh urged the crowd to get into the game in the 4th quarter, the effect was electrifying! I still have goosebumps from when Harbaugh called in the 12th man!

M&T Bank Stadium has been as loud as 102 decibels, I think it was louder in the 4th quarter of the Broncos game that I have ever heard the stadium.

Let's hope that that same level of energy can be maintained for the rest of the home games. It is our home field advantage and we should use it.

The Ravens won because of a few reasons...

Special teams: the kickoff return was great, but it was the great coverage tackles on the kickoffs the entire game not one breakout run. Excellent defensive field position.

The guys were rested from the bye.

They stuck with the run against DEN tough D to keep them off balance.

The best tackling of the season, stuck everything.

Most importantly the biggest reason for our win...DEN played into our hands, a non mobile QB that plays a short passing game and ball control. The Ravens have a great front seven to squash that but Ed Reed vs. the world once you challenge them downfield. Everyteam has challenged us downfield the entire game. DEN besides a few throws never challenged us and the one time they did they got PI and it turned into their only TD.

I don't participate on these game threads while the game is on - small computer screen upstairs vs. large screen TV downstairs - but they are fun reading after the games [well, after the wins, it's too heartbreaking to read after losses].

It's weird though. It's very sci-fi, like I took a ride on a time machine back in time. When I read the posts, I'm always thinking, "Well... you don't know what's coming up!" Like I know something the writer doesn't. LOL.
