Ravens Vs Bears 12-20-09

Ok so i live in Virginia Beach, we are driving up for the game on the 19th early in the morning. Ive been a Ravens fan since '97 and this is my 1st chance to see this team play live. Im so pumped i cant even imagine the feeling you get driving into Baltimore and seeing the stadium and the buildings and harbor for the 1st time! Im excited to see Joe Flacco, this guy is pure talent and his arm/accuracy are just amazing, his ability to never feel uneasy in huge games and in the 4th cant be matched or coached. Shouts to Ozzie for this steal , this guy is in his soph. year and is already 1 of the best QBs in the league. We need to give this guy a $100 million deal as soon as we can, as this guy is definately our first franchise QB. Ok im done boasting. :lolpoof:

I started this thread to ask you vet's a couple questions. I got amazing seats in 125 row 3 and am wondering what the view is really like? Ive seen the picture on the site of the sections but still are curious. Also im staying at the Holiday Inn @ the Stadiums and am looking for things to do on the Saturday before the game around the city and things to photograph. Finally, what time should i arrive at the stadium Sunday morning to ensure im in my seat around 10 or 11 to see the warm ups and introduction before the game?

Thanks for your time,
Chris Raven

Go to the Inner Harbor or Fells Point. Stadium gates open 2 hours before game time, but you can get there earlier and walk around Ravens Walk, food, music, beer, etc, prices are cheaper then insude the stadium, warm ups usally about an hour before game time.

I'm a few sections away from you during this game.

Inner Harbor is nice. Stay around there, don't venture too far off for a Baltimore Newbie. If your over 21 go check out Fells Point.

Get to the game early and hit up "Ravens Walk". You won't miss it - especially coming from Holiday Inn. Take a walk through Eutaw Street (Home of the Orioles). You can get in the gates faily early - I think 11 am? Some players will start coming out warming up on and off.

There really aren't any bad seasts in the stadium. Where you are sitting are great tickets. Here's a view from section 125.

@ PuRock and beach08 thanks for the advice. Cant wait to attend the game and have a good time. Go Ravens!

Are there any Ravens shops around the Inner harbor or in downtown that have some good stuff? Also am looking for a couple Raven Rags. Purple > Yellow!

Right behind M & T Stasium is Camden Yards Oriole's Stadium which has the Sport's Legend Museum and Store for Ravens and Orioles or once inside M & T there are Raven stores.

The Ravens store in the Stadium usually run holiday discounts in December. Please double check what you are and are not allowed to take in the stadium and have a blast. If you are of age ESPN zone is pretty cool and so is the Baltimore Aquarium Aqua.org I think its better then Norfolks. Santa's house at the Harbor is really cool to photograph and the Constellation all lit up is beautiful around the harbor.

A lot of good suggestions above.

Here's my take: If you are a first time visitor, you will want to properly plan in order to get the most out of your Saturday visit. Get there early!!!! You waste hours trying to find parking, so you may want to cab around (Baltimore cab fares are lower than most major cities). If the Water Taxi is running in December, take that first, from Inner Harbor to Fells Point for a few pubs (try Bertha's for mussel appetizer, then one or more of Slainte, DuClaw brew pub, and Wharf rat English Pub) then walk or cab to Little Italy for outstanding meal at Amici's (best value), Sabatino's (world famous), Mo's, Della Note, or Caeser's Den or any of a dozen more, topped off by dessert at Vaccaro's. Inner Harbor really take a few days to take in the Aquarium, Science Center, and Maritime Museum. Come back to the Sport Legends Museum, adjacent to the baseball stadium at Camden and I-395 - an absolute must for Baltimore sports fans.

Sunday is simple for visitors: Keep your car in the garage again all day. A few blocks south of you ..... Ravens Walk between the baseball and football stadiums has everything you would need as to food, drink, entertainment. And/or roam the surrounding tailgate lots. Get into the stadium by noon for warm-ups, and the pre-game flag ceremonies. Post-game, roam tailgate lots again, and head to bars on Federal Hill a few blocks due east of the stadium: Mother's, Magerk's, Pickles, or a dozen more within spitting distance. You may be able to safely walk the mile or so back to your hotel up Light and west on Lombard, but, again, cabs are relatively cheap in Baltimore.
