Doesn't it make you want to make love to Peter Jackson? At least when he was still thin.

See, this is why black people think white folk are crazy.

Well, if that's the only reason, then I'm in the clear... I like my Peter Jackson plump.

I'm a huge fan of the horror, but as of late I have been trying foreign horror. Here are some suggestions for you all.

For example, if you can get your hands on this little gem, it's beyond insane. It's a Thai film called "Meat Grinder"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sj3Ed_QXsj0 (Warning!!! Graphic scenes!)

Also, I saw a movie called "Martyrs" That left me sick for days. It started out as a great revenge oriented flick, with some brutal scenes, but holy cow, at about the half way mark, watch out. It is disturbing like nothing else I have seen, before or since.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNpDiQimK6U&feature=related

If you haven't seen them, give'em a shot. I must warn you though, if you thought stuff like Hellraiser and Nightmare on Elmstreet were scary/disturbing, then just leave them be.

ROFL!!! seriously, i just loled just now in the office.

I watched the 28 days/28 weeks later movies this weekend, and I wasn't impressed. They were ok, but nothing to write home about. I feel kind of dirty admitting this, but "One Missed Call" scared the hell outta me, mostly because I saw it the night it came out, and at work the next day, one of the regulars of the store I worked for had that as his ringtone.
Has no one else seen Susperia? It's so twisted and just plain scary, def a must see.

I'm sure it was released in the theaters in New Zealand. And I rented it at an independent video store that had all kinds of hard-to-find, elitist movies.

Whenever someone would ask what kind of movies I liked, a friend of mine would butt in and say, "He only watches German, Silent films"

This is not entirely untrue
(double negative)

One of the Blockbusters by me got "Red Box'd," i.e. there are two Red Boxes in the same shopping center and they just can't compete with the $1 per night and the free codes.

Sometimes I wish people would check redbox.com for the movie they want before standing at the kiosk for ten minutes going through every movie, and ultimately not pick one...

The redbox closest to me advertises Drag Me To Hell on it but they don't actually have the movie. So I broke the machine with my fists and put a curse on it.

I'm on the fence about this one. I'll probably either really like it or hate myself for wasting 2 hours.

well it has Paris Hilton in it :34853_doh:
and it has alot of singing in it(sweeny todd)
some of the music was really good tho specially the music part, isn't a great flick but I did enjoy it I can see this having a cult following.Sarah Brightman makes an appearence in it,but seriously I rented this and I intend to get for my collection. The lyrics don't always go in sync but seriously even Paris sounded decent.I recommend a rental for this.

Well, I did love Sweeney Todd. Maybe I'll give this one a try.

Has anyone ever seen the two seasons of Masters of Horror that was on Showtime?

I've watched a few of the highest rated ones on Netflix Instant watch. They are pretty good for a fast fix. Love the Asian Butler in Cigarette Burns.

Jenifer - Dario Argento
Family - John Landis
Cigarette Burns - John Carpenter

I also like John Landis' first season episode "Deer Woman"
And, of course, Dario Argento's "Pelts"

"Dream Cruise" freaked me out a bit. "Imprint" was just a little over the top (Showtime refused to air it on tv, but released it with the Season 1 DVDs. Gotta love Takashi Miike)

Speaking of Takashi Miike, I know that Audition has been mentioned, but I'd also suggest Ichi the Killer.

It's not really a horror movie, but there's a lot of pretty horrific scenes in the movie. It's a pretty twisted mobster movie with lots of graphic, over-the-top violence. For some reason, it works a lot better than American graphic violence.

This was the only trailer I could find that I could post here:

I'll have to give those eposides a watch. They do have Imprint to watch instantly. I'll give it a try.

I watched another Miike movie, Sukiyaki Western Django. It was definitely different, a lot of blood.

I saw that several months ago. It was entertaining and bloody, but nothing great. My girlfriend has tried watching Ichi the Killer with me on two separate occassions, but we've had to turn it off at her request.
