Borderlands?

Has anyone played/own Borderlands? I've been doing some HW on it, and it looks like a blast, I'm just picky when it comes to RPGs. Anyone have a review or feedback?

i been waiting as well but from the reviews that i have seen its a great game. some people have had complaints about the graphics but its not suppose to be like modern warfare. its got a cartoonish look to it but still from the reviews that i hve seen a quality with a wealth of weapons at your disposal.

Borderlands is fantastic. Yes, the graphics are cartoonish (slightly along the lines of cel-shading). But the way they combined a FPS and RPG is amusing and unique. It's not as in depth as an actual RPG, so don't go in expecting tons of depth. But what's there gives it a twist that breaks the mundane nature of every FPS made. Add to it the quests that are "taken" from online RPGs. Go there kill that. Go here and gather this. Talk to this guy in that town. But it's fun, which is the point.

As for the guns, yeah there's a ton. However, Gearbox basically wrote a program that automatically "made" guns which some minor stat variations. So alot of guns you'll find are similar just with a few point differences here and there. However, Gearbox did make a good chunk of the guns themselves, so you will find unique guns too.

All in all, it's a fun, change of pace for a FPS. Especially if you have friends to play with (although you can always just find random people to play with online). Let's be honest, you'll enjoy it much more online then offline by yourself. You can always rent it first. I'd highly recommend it.

From what I understand, its an RPG/FPS hybrid, I'm told it was made to cater to the multiplayer, but that the single player is still fun too... from almost all of the reviews I read, they compared it to World of Warcraft... which is one of the most played Multiplayer RPG's ever, they said if your familiar with that game than you probably will like borderlands, Probably one of the better multi player RPG's for consoles (you can play with up to 4 friends) and there is no subscription outside of the xbox live one
