some of the guys you have posted there have resigned long term.
Here are the guys i want us to sign - Brandon marshall/Vincent jackson and Tony Scheffler

Knowing Ozzie Newsome though we will sign Kevin Walter and Benjamin Watson lol
Just imagine though if we can adress WR through FA by signing A brandon Marshall aswell as a guy like Chris Henry or Kevin Walter and a tony Scheffler at TE. Then we can pick defense the entire draft lol. Then we could grab Rolando McClain in round 1 and Dowling in round 2.

Didn't the Steelers give Ward a new contract? I thought he is now the highest paid Steeler?
I think you can take Owens off the list. No way Ozzie would even consider signing him.

A couple of people I would take off the list from each category

CB

Newman-face of the Dallas D after Ware, he'll be resigned I'm sure of it

LB

Dumervil-on pace to have a monster season, maybe even DPOY, Broncos would look like idiots giving him up

TE

crumpler-no thank you
Dallas Clark-Peytons safety blanket..showing he still has alot left they'll resign him

While that is probably true, they are still free agents at the end of the year. As long as they are, there is still a chance to nab them, as slim as it may be.

I don't think dumervil and Clark will even make it to FA..look for extensions sometime before the season ends

same thing for Brandon Marshall...they're having a dream season...he might get his new contract

People like Dumervil and Jackson will have HUGE asking prices and corner wise it is a good year but we got to go out and attack right away.

Offense:
Vincent Jackson...not only will he shore up our up and comming offense for years to come but he will also help our defense by not burning them with whatever team he ends up with. He may ask for some cash but it's the #1 you all have been looking for.

Defense:

not sure if we should spend big bucks on a FA here. We can build through the draft. Some good options 1st and second round IMO would be Eric Berry (I hope we dont pick early enough to get him) Taylor Mays (same story) Von Miller DE TAMU.

I know he has underachieved so far but still a solid young DE Marcus Spears will be a FA in 2010...

Eh I hate talking 2010 before 2009 is even closed out. But an armchair GM has to look a couple years out anyways right??

Yeah but since its the bye week and we have already basically talked about everything under the sun about what is going on right now, so why not start trying to prepare for the future?

Needless to say, Dre Bly is god awful and when he fumbled that INT doin the prime time celebration he cemented how crappy he really is. All those DL are injury prone, old, or average at best. I do like TE's though.

If we got Nick Collins I would lose my mind.

I think Morrison has re-signed or is a lock to. If he hasn't I'd be all over that, but I bet he'll want a lot.

to the OP, i'd add not only carlos rogers to the list of DB, but im pretty sure braylon edwards hasnt signed a new deal yet with the jets... its unlikely they let him walk, but for now, he'll be a UFA after this year

Let me clear up some of the Bronco names that are on the list.

Marshall - He'll his money if he continues to play like he has. Bowlen (Broncos owner) has already publicly stated Marshall is playing himself into a substantial pay raise.

Dumervil - The Broncos will not let him go..come on. It's fun to day dream though.

Kuper - Hmmm...don't know about this one. Kuper was the only RG to not give up a sack last year so he has the talent for sure but I just don't know.)

No.

Ward signed a 4 year, $22.1 million contract this year.
Roethlisberger signed an 8 year, $102 million contract in '08.

Yes, yes I'm sure Ozzy will sign them all. Then he'll fly with them back to Neverland where they'll dance among the fairies and elves.

Before you ask what free agents you want to sign, you have to figure out who you are going to let go first. It's doubtful that the Ravens will have enough cap room to re-sign who the need to, sign two big name WR's, a TE then draft an all star defense lol. not very realistic.

Barring something catastrophic happening (serious injury) I don't see us looking into defensive linemen or linebackers. The two glaring holes would lie in the Corner and Wide out lists.

The two I'd mainly want would be Vincent Jackson and either Carlos Rogers or Dunta Robinson. I do not see us picking up Sharper, as the Saints will probably keep him around (6 INTs and 3 TDs from one member of your secondary is nothing to just let walk). However, even if he were to be let go into Free Agency, he's getting a little too old, in my opinion, to be a viable pick up for our secondary. It'd just be a temporary fix to a lingering problem.

Now, if something happened and we needed to pursue a defensive lineman, I wouldn't sell Ray Edwards or Adewale Ogunleye short. Ogunleye may be getting older and not quite getting after the quarterback like he used to, but he would be a solid pick up if we absolutely needed him. As for Edwards, he's still pretty young (in his fourth year). Not to mention, I believe he can progress into a solid defensive end, given a little bit of time.

And if we were looking into tight ends, I do not think Denver will be letting Scheffler fall into Free Agency. So if we had to pick up one, I'd probably go with Fasano, seeing as he's young and produced well in a run first offense. Stick him on the Ravens with Flacco, and we could get some very nice production out of him.
