Espn Picks Browns

32 posts in this topic

All of ESPN's so-called "experts" are picking the Browns to win this Sunday. However, Accuscore is choosing the Ravens. I'll take a computer simulation over a subjective opinion any day. All of the analysts on ESPN Countdown chose Cleveland as well.

ESPN, anaylist know nothing. They depend soley on stats, they dont care about injuries or anything else. Thats why they are one of the worst groups of NFL anaylst on TV. Plus for some reason ESPN hates the Ravens, I guess its cool to bash us now a day's. Watch when Boller torches that Browns secondary and McGahee runs wild on them, they are going to be kissing the Ravens behinds. I am calling it right now, McGahee breaks out with 300 yards and breaks Petersons record.

Well, with the way both teams have been playing, can you blame ESPN for picking the Browns? The Browns went toe-to-toe to the team that sodomized us on a Monday night game. The Ravens aren't an elite team this year and the Browns are good.

as i said before, all those Analysts on here are just a group of guys "voicing" their own personal oppinion on who wins the next game, they have no real effect on how the Team's play the game and they have no effect on how each Team's player's play the game. Our offense could very well get it going in this one, and then what????? those analysts will turn on everything they just said and say something like "the Ravens Offense is a Powerful unit, and can drive down the field and score"and whatever else

Accuscore isn't subjective, and they chose the Ravens. Although, Accuscore isn't beating all the experts like it did last year.

Thats because it probably doesnt take other factors of the game into the score, the momentum, the readiness, stuff like that. I think that the Ravens, although they dont have momentum, they will be ready and will win the game.

its all just a group of guys sports "oppinions"....kinda like when you have a get to together with the guys on gameday to watch the game and everyone has their own oppinions about who wins and who doesnt....its the same concept with these Analysts

no they're not they're just gonna say that the browns "struggled" and that they'll rebound next week if the ravens do end up winning we dont get credit whatsoever

we just have to go out there and do what we do best....we've always been some type of under dog (for most of our time in Baltimore) and we've learned/come to accept that and it doesnt bother the players or the Team for that matter what so ever, if anything....it gives them a sense of pride and a innner drive to Proove to EVERYONE that has doubted them...wrong.

We also seem to do better when everyone doubts us. Its when we get a lot hype that it seems to go to the players heads.

ESPN even had a funny commercial where Tom Jackson smashes Chris Berman's sandwich because he said the Bears '85 defense was better than the Ravens 2000 defense.

It does seem like they get over confident when they are not the underdog. Sorry, Billick lovers but I blame him for that to. Its his job to keep his players from looking ahead. And I think this whole team including the coaches got caught looking ahead to the bye week and the Pitt game.

In all seriousness, we are probably equally as good (or bad) as the chargers. they've been suckish too.

kyle boller could be as good as philip rivers

I think Kyle is better than Rivers. Rivers is only effective because of the threat of LT and that opens things up for him. I bet if you put Rivers on the Bears you wouldn't be able to tell him apart from Rex.

Well, DWill and Heap will probably be out this week. That's a big dent in our offense.

Sypniewski has been solid in blocking and recieving and Devard Darling has played hard...Kyle Boller will have more success anyways than mcnair does with the true starting lineup so it really doesnt matter...we will have a better offense and we will play hard.

agreed, even if Tood is "out" this week, we still have a VERY capable Player that will step up/in and fill his viod/role...he's built pretty much, the same as Heap and even the crowd has mistaken him for Heap a few times. He has a Powerful build, can Block very well and has Excellent Hands to catch the football and Excellent Speed and vision to get the ball up the field.

there is no doubt in my mind that We'll ALL (meaning both sides of the football, Offense and defense) will play hard and furious and heopfully emerge from the Pile victorious! hehe :)
