I dont believe Webb will make much more of a difference at nickel or Naki will help the secondary more than Landry. Shuffling players around won't solve secondary issues. However try them out a few plays a game and observing there consistency is a lower risk. Im confident we have have the starting roster right, its the plays im less confident in.

Certainly putting zone players in man situations isnt smart. I do have concerns with Landrys security.

I disagree with you about Webb. His talent alone will make him more successful than Carr and Waler. I'm not saying he's going to explode from the nickel the spot but I definitely don't see him giving up the plays Carr and Walker have.

Well we are both speculating, predictions are worthless until proven. I don't believe Webb has much to contribute to the secondary. I do however believe Webb does improve special teams on both kick-offs and receiving enough to make a marginal difference.

I'm assuming your statement of Webb being talented is indirectly stating Carr isn't. Webb will eventually see a higher contribution.

I don't like Ed Reed at corner. He's not got the pure speed to play corner (anymore), and he probably doesn't know the technique of playing cornerback. And by putting him at corner we're taking away his greatest asset: reading the quarterback. At corner he's not looking at the quarterback; he's looking at the reciever, most likely streaking away from him, or towering over him. It's just a bad fit all round.

Landry is doing nothing, I dont care about excuses with him being "rusty" if youre not making plays step aside for someone who might like Zibby or Naka.

As for Foxworth, Washington and Walker we're stuck with them. Even Rod Woodson is wondering what the hell is going on with those three.

Thats a bold statement, when knowingly our secondary has been less than a contributing factor as it is. I see this kid being a huge impact player over the years, and honestly dont see any harm of putting him in over Carr/Walker. Even if he does make mistakes, as a rookie id take those mistakes over a more experienced player.

I think we're grasping at straws here, I mean DWill playing corner?

No but seriously, our corners and one safety are playing badly and we need guys who might be able to make plays for the starters that arent. Nakamura and K.J can make plays on the ball and in zone, why arent we implementing them? And is Dawan Landry alive?

I completely agree with you on switching around players and trying new schemes, but in actuality unless your Jake Delhomme or Kerry Collins who are QB's, most coaches wont start a 2nd stringer over a primary no matter how much we want to see it. Teams arent built on doing these type of things unless you are messing up royally (Chris Carr).

Harbaugh does have a lot of loyalty towards the dead weight in our team, and that blind faith is looking very high risk, low reward at the moment.

Hope he does better than last time..

I dont question Harbaugh as a coach and his judgement, but his decisions to keep players like Carr and Walker in key situations are questionable.

I think that will change. Webb is already taking snaps with the first team. I anticipate Walker being the dime but I don't see Carr getting playing time on defense unless someone gets hurt.
