Want To Trade For A Wr

11 posts in this topic

I am in a 12 team .5 ppr Yahoo league and my team is:

QB Matt Ryan
WR Antonio Bryant
WR Wes Welker
RB Ronnie Brown
TE Greg Olsen
FLEX Brian Westbrook
FLEX Frank Gore
K Kris Brown
D/ST Arizona

Bench:
Knowshon Moreno
Derrick Mason
Jason Campbell
Mark Clayton
Jamal Lewis
Nate Washington

I have been proposed two trades:
Ronnie Brown for Steve Smith(NYG)
Frank Gore for Houshmanzadeh

Thought? Should I target any specific receiver or what trades would you go for?

As for the trades I don't like either of them. Ronnie Brown and Frank Gore are beasts this year. But you do need help at the WR position. I would suggest conter-offering Brian Westbrook for Steve Smith. Westbrook splits carries and is injuy prone. He's coming off a great game (Sell High!) so you can probably get your money worth.

As for the free agents in your league. Earl Bennett is probably the best choice. He definitely gets a lot of chances for receptions. And I think the Bears are realizing that they are a throwing team. Caldwell is another guy to watch. He is crushing in targets. But I wouldn't drop anyone quite yet. Keep an eye on Lewis (Browns might start thinking about their future more) and Nate Washington (things could get really ugly in Tenn if Vince Young Starts).

I know QB really isn't 1 you said you needed, but I would look into dropping jason campbell for someone else.. if henne is available he would probably be a good pick up... if he's struggling against winless teams.. what happens when he starts playing his division?

and definately keep an eye on the J. Lewis situation

Like PU said Caldwell and Bennett are probably top 2 on that list.. but I'd def have Wade, Stokley, and Crayton on your watch list

Matt Ryan has already had his bye so I am not concerned with the QB position.

Antonio Bryant hasn't panned out and I am looking for a more "big time" receiver.

alright :), was just figuring I'd throw advice out if he came across a bad match up

and yeah I understand what you mean about bryant... if you want some other advice besides what we are offering (which I'm sure you already know this) but you can go to nfl.com/fantasy and fabiano will talk about waiver wire, must starts.. sits.. etc, and usually theres a few WR's in there

Well if you are willing to give up Ronnie Brown or Frank Gore, you can get a better receiver than Steve Smith(NYG) and Housh. Reach higher.

no way I'd be willing to give up 1 of those RB's.. let alone both for a WR.. receivers are 1) too inconsistant 2) don't get a chance to touch the ball every down 3) have to share looks 4) easier to defend... not to mention a RB can catch balls from the QB too .. for me to trade either of those guys it has to be a pretty unrefuseable trade ... I mean like Andre Johnson + someone else for a healthy frank gore

dude, welker is a must start every week. Go check the waivers for Crabtree, Breaston, Collie, Austin, Manningham or Sidney Rice.

I'd stay away from either of these. The only one I'd consider is the Gor for Housh, but I'd make him sweeten the deal with another WR if possible. Maybe try to package Brant and Gore for Housh and another good WR
No way in hell I'd trade Brown for Smith.
