Patriot Games

Let's just give the New England fans their Super Bowl trophy in May. With Moss, Stallworth and co., this offense cannot be stopped let alone contained. Give me a break! What a joke. I'm sick and tired about hearing how great the Pats are.

Fans and media trying to compare their defense to our boys is just ludacris. Our defense has been in the top 5 for 8 years straight.

Sure, Brady is a hall of famer, but the rest of the offense is unproven. In my opinion, they have way to many DIVAS at wideout, a shaky O-line, and Maroney will probably be their best weapon this year. Boston fans whine just as much about their Pats as that overplayed rerun of YANKS-SAWKS. I feel the Pats made the same fatal error that the Yankees did which is be great, sign superstars and never have that chemistry they once had. NE fans seem to only remeber how the Ravens lost to the Colts, and forget the choke job they displayed at the RCA Dome in January. Sure they'll win that putrid division, but the SB trophy is far from being theirs.

Just My Thoughts. What is your take?.........Go Ravens!!!

Chemistry is the operative word here.

I said it before in another thread, and I'll say it again: the Patriots will fall far below expectations this season and will NOT even come close to hoisting the Lombardi Trophy this season if they cannot be a cohesive unit on the field.

This is a TEAM game, and as far as I'm concerned, the Patriots are far from a TEAM, right now. They are merely a collection of players. The actual TEAM isn't assembled until the foundation for TEAMwork is built in training camp and preseason for these guys.

You guys are sick of hearing about the Patriots and so am I. I however can't avoid it.

I just hope the Pats choke on all the 'chemistry' and the 'hype', I really do. As much as I'm loving living and working in Boston, I can definitely say I'll be happy to return to my little corner of Ravensland at the end of it.

And come on...rattling Randy Moss is easy....all ya have to do is hit him hard to get him off balance. Just makes me sick that all of a sudden the Pats are the team to beat even though this mishmash of acquisitions has yet to play a game together. Eh what about the Colts? What about the Ravens....

the Patriots ain't the only team in the AFC!!!

I was listening to NFL Radio on Sirius and they were talking about the AFC's big 3. The Pats, Colts and the San Diego Superchargers. The Pats may not be the only, but what about us. In reality, its better off this way. Once we start getting some pub we don't do as well.

13-3 and under the radar...here we come.

IMO our Ravens = the Rodney Dangerfield of the AFC...we get no respect even after a 13-3 season. I get the impression sometimes that the pundits feel that 13-3 last season was a fluke.

I'm sure AD will warn them when they get cockey about us with our bone crunching D bearing down on them every play.... Maroney isnt going anywhere but the ground with no gains.. Shiaat I mean LT couldnt even surpass 100 yds rushing last year.

This is the game I'm waiting for. The Ravens will get the chance to expose the one team in the NFL that I viscerally hate. Can't wait for Bart Scott to break Brady in half.

I was reading ESPN's "ultimate depth chart" and when previewing the AFC North Merrill Hoge refered to our defense as the best defense out there. When refering to the AFC as a whole he simply forgot about us.

I find it funny how quickly people forget about the consistent defense of the Ravens and give nods to flash in the pan defenses like the Bears under Lovie.

Not to take a whole lot away from Chi, SD, or NE but come talk to me when they have done it for an extended period of time.

I guess you can compare it to Michael Jordan and the MVP trophy in basketball. As one analyst put it, i think maybe michael winbon, the MVP trophy deservedly goes to Jordan every year the bulls won but it's boring to keep given it to the same guy over and over so there comes a time you have to hype someone else

Yeah it seems like everytime im watching nfl total access, or espn and they talk about the AFC they say Patriots, Colts, and Chargers are the best nfl teams. That is somewhat true, but seldom does anyone ever mention the ravens. The ravens beat the chargers. People can talk about how our offense is lacking, but our offense this year came up big in 3 4th quarter comebacks this year. I agree with you 100 percent that the patriots are all hyped up and they will not live up to it.

The only differences between last years patriots and this years are the receivers, and AD.

Randy Moss- He's a good receiver, yes, but lately (even though Oakland is terrible) has not shown anything.

Donte Stallworth- Yeah he's fast but so is every other receiver in the NFL. He's nothing special.

Wes Welker- He caught some balls last year in Miami, nothing spectacular, who cares.

Adalius- He's a great player, and ill always respect him. He will just not make that huge of an impact on this defense.

oh yeah and they have reche caldwell. all i know about him is he has really big eyes.

We will always hear about the patriots throughout the season, might as well get used to it. They win games and everyone will be talking about how great they are. They lose games and everyone will be wondering what happened.

Id prefer that second option, but no matter what happens i believe thats all we're gonna hear next season.

Chemistry is why our defense is number 1 in the league

That and one of the best linebackers to play the game... (Excuse me, Mr. Lewis, Canton is over that way!)
