Joey Galloway Released

Maybe if the hit on Washington was more serious and we could bring in Galloway to replace him I'd be fine with it. But c'mon the guy is 37. We have to look at what young player we would be cutting and possibly losing forever to sign a one and done reciever whose impact will probably me marginal at best. The only receiver I would say is worth getting is Bowe even though we'll have to trade something to get him.

I have a question. If the Ravens are interested in Bowe, why sign Tyree last week? There's our 5 wide (for a previous poster's benefit). If anything, a corner is needed badly. This issue needs to be dealt with before anything else imo. I seriously doubt another WR will be added.

Tyree was brought in pretty much only for ST. He's a great ST player, and with the loss of Brendan Ayanbedejo (sp?) we really don't have a ST "ace." Kelley Washington was supposed to have been brought on in this aspect, but he developed such a rapport with Joe that they don't want to use him in that role.

Just checked the latest on ESPN INSIDER. Headline says "Galloway headed down I95?".

Well that narrows things down.

Suppose we do sign Galloway.... who do we cut to make room on the roster?

I nominate Chris Carr. XD

Edit: PFT is reporting that Galloway is headed to Kansas City.http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/10/20/report-galloway-heading-to-kansas-city/
