Joey Galloway Released

37 posts in this topic

Joey Galloway has been released by New England. They still have to pay his salary.
If there was truth that the Ravens were interested- there he is
I don't personally think we need him, a corner would be much more welcomed

Its one that wouldnt cost a draft pick.

If that's what it takes, do it. The pass rush can be fixed in my opinion because the players are there but the secondary needs an upgrade. It doesn't have to be a "shut-down" player but someone who can at least play nickel or maybe challenge Fabian and Foxworth.

Not quite sure what you are refering to on this. I was talking about Joey G. the reciever. He wouldnt cost a draft pick. I do agree with you the secondary needs some improvement. Hopefully something comes before the trade deadline.

My mistake. But I'm glad someone agrees with me about the secondary.

If we get galloway, who gets cut? I don't see him as a big imporvment if any over what we have now.
[/quote]

My guess is Lawrence the RB.

22nd in Passing Defense

8th in Passing Offense

I don't see how anyone can not agree with you! Galloway brings us nothing IMO.

No thanks, another over the hill receiver. Would bring nothing to the table we don't already have. We need someone younger to grow with Joe.

I'm sorry, but we don't need a 38 y/o receiver that has less than 350 yards receiving in the last 2 seasons.

NO thanks.

Just checked the latest on ESPN INSIDER. Headline says "Galloway headed down I95?".

I'd take Galloway. Couldn't hurt anything, other than having to cut someone on the roster, but there's already enough underutilized talent. I could see John Beck or Jalen Parmele getting the boot.

But, the biggest need is still corner; we already understand this. But any talent that can improve the roster is always wanted.

Joey Galloway has been release!? :ICONATOR_01040da29c18a4eed76047

Ah Ummmm why is this of any importance to the Baltimore Raven's? Someone please tell me! Oh are we thinking of converting him to CB now that his WR skills have diminished after 20 year? :th_327321_Spy_23x22: :batteur-musicien:

i'd take joey galloway...i'm sure we can find someone to cut.

how are we gonna get a young reciever to grow with us in the middle of the season?
we have to wait util the draft or some trades when the uncapped yr comes about.

it's about putting the best possible team on the field every year while being able to maintain draft picks unless you have a sure playmaker that ya getting. yall the same people that was down-grading the ravens last yr and calling it a re-building season.

it's about superbowls....and we don't have time to wait. Now is always the time to win.
I'm sure we can patch up the 2ndary by having them play zone to eliminate the one-on-one matchups.
and if we lucky we can sign joey and work out a trade for a CB by 4pm.

regaurdless we need some type of spark....it can be offensively so we can hang 50pts on people every game since our defense is lacking. Ravens seem tooooo comfortable cuz they were 3-3 last yr and made it to the AFC champ game...last yr they had drive and desire. Now it's like don't worry...we did it last yr.

Galloway would improve the roster but the same money they might use to get Galloway could also be used to bring in a corner or two.

If this does happen we can at least go 4 wide now. Maybe the staff is just looking to "outscore" the other team.

The question is if Joey Galloway is healthy....can he play corner?

I can't we are even discussing this. You can't tell me a 37 year old guy that just got cut mid season is better then D-WLL! Let our young guys play and get a better D coaching staff. We have almost the same guys we had last year and the D stats are the worst in what 10 years.
