Fire All Coaches

That's getting a little drastic don't you think? The ravens were 2-3 going into the bye week last year and ended up 13-3. Lets not get carried away here.

(sarcasm)
While we are at it. We should Fire Ozzie, and get Steve Bisciotti arrested for putting a competitive team together.

God forbid we have a team like the Lions, Redskins, Chiefs or Oakland. We are a few plays shy of being 6-0. All of our lost games were very competitive. We just need to find a way to win the close games.

What the hell are u talking bout?? Last yr we went 2 the AFC championship with this coaching staff. The only person on the staff that needs 2 go is Mattison. Bill Cowher isnt an option!! We made one huge mistake this off-season n that is not signing Nolan back as our Defensive Coordinator. But thts the past, I mean starting over with the coaching staff is the dumbest thing ive ever heard

Purely for argument's sake, Cowher comes in to take over DC, good or bad?
Cowher wouldn't take that job in a million years. He's openly expressed that if he comes back he wants full control. Meaning Coach, GM moves etc.

Maybe a change at Defensive Coordinator is in order, but the entire staff? Come on, now. Jerry Rosburg would have been next on my list, except Special Teams has really stepped up once we got a real return man back there; not to mention coverage has also been great.

Again, purely for argument's sake.. Cowher decides he's bored and comes in as DC, does it matter? All HC, GM, etc limitations set aside, from a purely a defensive coordinator standpoint, does he get the job done with what's he's given here and our current defensive roster.. just a hypothetical question.

For Arguments sake then. When every you can get a proven head coach to come back as a coordinator (in their specialty area). Then its usually a good move.

I never heard Nolan was considering coming back or that the Ravens were looking at him. If Nolan was willing to come back and we still decided to go with Mattison, that is really, really sad.

gah! skirting around the question!!!!! We have player issues and coaching issues in my eyes, the lesser of the two evils is a ? for me. Would our player issues snap up with a more "proven" or "hardened" DC? Can we kill two birds with one stone in this case? Does someone with more clout come in a shape up our D without making acquisitions...

i am sick to death of all this. just fire the entire coaching staff and start over. my first pick goes to bill cowher.
I whole heartedly agree, but the problem lies deeper then that. We need to fire Flacco, Mason, Lewis, Reed, Suggs, Ngata, Foxworth, Fabian Washington, Kelley Washington, Clayton, Walker, Hauschka, Mason, Rice, McGahee, Le'Ron McClain and...

Actually, we should just disband the team. God, I cannot believe how fast this team went downhill.

*rolls eyes*

In all seriousness... My choice for this week's "C'mon Man!" is the quoted ravens_4life post.

Fire all the Coaches lol? He has got to be just messing with us... Cam and John are money for the most part. The only part of this I would agree with is firing Mattison. There were rumors leaking out before the Pats game about Mattison being to soft to deal with Brady and I didn't believe any of them. Now I lost all faith in Mattison and regardless of what the players like Ray say to the media you better believe they are not to far off from that view also.

On the Rex Ryan issue after watching him handle the Jets I see why this organization never gave him the keys. The guy is a loose cannon calling out his own players and calling for a fake field goal/punt every other play. Be glad we got Johhny... I don't see Rex having a great career as a head coach so maybe he will finally realize Defense was were he belongs and come back home haha.

Cowher has said he will return to coaching one day. He wants to become the HC of a garbage team and rebuild them into a beast from what I've heard.

Wasn't really skirting, just got lazy with my answer. It's a good point. But it's a heavily debated one.

Some people say a new D-Cord will automatically get the D on the right track. Preferably a "proven" NFL D-Cord.

Others believe that Mattison isn't really to blame. Some of the pieces are different now. And that Mattison isn't missing tackles, or getting bad PI calls.

Now it just depends on what side your on. Me, I'm a bit of both. I think if a new coach comes in, would it help, maybe a tad. The players need to be held responsible as well in this matter.

Alright, then maybe I should have said we were 2-3 at this point last year.

the problem with mattison is he doesnt want to admit his defense is getting beat and adjust. i think once he does then the defense will be ok even though we have less then great cb's.

their bye week was week two, therefore they weren't 2-3 going into the bye week and they weren't 13-3, but hey, who is counting?

i agree with your logic though
