Since there is a great chance that Samari Rolle will not return, and our CB's need help, the Raven's should look into Nnamdi Asomugha from Oakland. Our D is getting beat up!!

What does this have to do with Oher?

thats a pretty good day for a defensive linemen guys.

But Oher did a fine job too.

It is a good day. Against a rookie who for 3 1/2 games played on the right side, and was thrust into playing on the left against one of the best pass rushers in the game.
I'm just saying that Allen's numbers could have, and should have been, much much higher. Oher did a fine job is a bit of an understatement.

The sack was a botched screen, Allen didnt work for it or beat anybody for the sack. The 4 tackles for loss is a good day, but 2 of them didnt come against Oher.

Allen's response today:

Vikings' Allen trashes Ravens 'idiot' rookie

FOXSports.com,
Mon Oct 19, 2:16 PM EDT
Jay Glazer's After Party online show on FOXSports.com is usually filled with fun and good vibes.

Not this week, as show regular Jared Allen tore into Baltimore Ravens tackle Michael Oher after the rookie criticized the Vikings DE following Sunday's game in Minnesota.

After holding the sack-happy Allen to just one sack Sunday, Oher told the Baltimore Sun that "There is nothing really special about him ... I think he found out I'm an OK player. Guy makes like $100 million. I think I did all right."

On his Monday show, Allen shared his response with Glazer. "Well, that's just some idiot trying to talk himself up," Allen said. "I beat that dude like a red-headed step child, let's be honest. If he was so good why did they have to chip me all day? Ask him that.

"That's just a rookie trying to build his self-confidence up. Besides, you lost and your quarterback spent his whole day on the back of his head until the fourth quarter. That guy (Oher) will watch film today and realize. Everybody else in the world saw me abuse him."

Allen is a clown. He thought he was going to have the game had against the Packers or the Rams but was shut down and then embarrassed in the second half. If you're a DPOY candidate this early in the season, of course you're going to chipped. Why is the only sack he got was on a busted play? Also, I clearly remember Oher pancaking him in the first quarter too so Allen can mouth off all he wants. He knows deep down inside that Oher stoned him several times.

You Ravens fans are just clawing at signs of life after that loss yesterday. Oher is going to be a perennial pro bowl tackle but JA obviously got the better of him yesterday. It was stupid of him to run his mouth without having any play to back up his talk.

First of all, Oher is a rookie and he had a pretty decent day against a pro bowler. All Oher said was he felt like he did ok. He didnt down talk him at all. Just that he felt he did good against a guy who is getting paid a lot of money. Allen should be embarrassed to even have to talk about this.

I don't know - sounds like the rookie got under your boy's skin. What "JA" (dope?) said is far more inflammatory than what Oher said. Why don't you go troll on the Steeler boards now?

Not really. I don't need to claw at signs of life because they're all over the place(offensively at least). Allen won on several meetings but again how many times was Allen either too late, getting blocked or foolishly taking a wide angle when the Ravens'offense made plays?

I love how in his little radio rant, he didn't elaborate on the 4th quarter. He's the sack specialist who's supposed to create pressure. Where was he in the 4th?

Its been stated numerous times, we acknowledge Allen outplayed Oher in the first half. However the second half was a totally different scenario, Oher was respectfully competitive in his post game interview. He said he didnt think Allen was all that special and thought he did well against him, saying he thinks his play made Allen realize maybe hes an OK player is hardly arrogant. What do you want him to say hes the best thing since the Freak in '99? No player would say that about somebody they play against in the trenches.

Allen is getting old and he knows it. Let's face it, the top of that hill is getting close and Oher pointed out how much closer it's getting. Just like an aging dog that snarls at anything, he took a cheap shot because he knows he can rest on his laurels a bit. Spin the facts however you want, he didn't have the day he should have had.

Hehe, then again neither did Oher. ;)

lol you must have had the viking helmet pulled well over your eyes in the second half. I already tried to give you a logical response, apparently you cant fathom that someone can play up to par with your mullet god so ill leave it be.

You guys played a good game and either team could've won. Goodluck the rest of the way. I do want to comment on this because there seems to be a lot of disrespect of Allen after what he said. Oher had a good game IMO but should've kept his mouth shut. No reason to trash talk after the game. Allen simply responded to what Oher said. No reason for that. You guys have a good lineman there. I'll admit that I wanted the Vikes to take Oher with their pick but took Harvin instead. We'll see how that pans out. Again, goodluck to you guys the rest of the way.

Yep, he sure is getting old. I mean, at 27 he only has 5 more seasons in his prime and another few seasons of less productive but solid play before he becomes a situation pass rusher for a season or two. He's sure getting old.

Let's not forget that Oher was beat on many, many occasions yesterday.

We should take solace in the fact that Oher did better against Allen than most other rookies would after switching positions, but Michael was definitely beat up on, especially in the earlier parts of yesterday's game.

Which is what Ive stated twice already , yet the Minny fan refuses to acknowledge Oher playing even with Allen in the second half.

I think Allen misconstrued what Oher was trying to say and got touchy about it. You don't call another player an idiot without serious warrant firstly, and isn't he a little long in tooth to be getting involved in these ****ing matches? I mean, Allen is a first class end, but he's also a first class jerk.

I don't really see him being beat up on. It's not how you start but how you finish. Allen disappeared after half time, Oher had more in the tank. This was proven in the 4th quarter, with multiple GAPPING holes because Oher stood up Allen and had his way with him. I know you like to play devils advocate at every chance and generally never give the Ravens much credit but come on. Oher did better against Allen then the other STARTERS Allen has faced. I think Oher did better then expected by most and proved he can contain the best rushers in the game. It was nothing like how Freeney owned Ogden towards the end of the career. Trust me, Allen isn't the biggest challenge Oher will face in his time in the NFL.

While I'm sure that over the course of Oher's career he'll eventually run into a better play remember that he is a RT not a LT and the vast majority of elite defensive ends (if not all) are Right DEs rushing against the Left OL since most QBs are right handed.

Kearse was an exception to that, so is Peppers. But for the most part your right.

Oher was a LT is college and didn't really even have much of a solid foundation in football to hang a hat on. He was primarily brought to Old Mis out of the shear potential, the small chance that his athletic ability could be harnessed. Granted, Michael has practiced and played a few games at RT at the NFL level but in two short weeks his potential is again budding. Incase you didn't know, Jared Gaither was a RT at Maryland, you see how that worked out! Trust that Big O will use this as a stepping stone, Allen will look back and say " man, that idiot was pretty damn special". Unless you see Oher work, you really have not even seen the half of it. I was amazed with what I saw out of him in training camp, wow he's THAT FAST and AGILE.

Nobody gets that but you Jared Allen. How about you stick to football because metaphors arent something your good at.

No Class.
