To ME it looks like Belichick benched AD to make room for a 40 year old Junior Seau. Either way Belichick sat him as a healthy scratch. Personally I cant believe that AD was a healthy scratch. AD is one of the most versatile LBs in the entire league.

No, but they gave him all that money two years ago and hes still a premier player in the league. His versatility is unmatched.

The Patriots are known for playing games with the injury report and the like. I wouldn't read to much into this. They didn't pay him all that money for him to be a spectator.
