Our defense didn't do the best job, but people get carried away with the whole "nobody rushes past 100 yards against the Ravens"

Has it occurred to anyone that maybe, just maybe. This isn't our defensive year?

the days of sure tackling are gone from this team
its not the players that are here or not its the fact that the players new or old
are not tackling like a ravens team usually does.
even in the wins we have the tackling has been horrible

In the 4th quarter, Brett Favre went 7-for-8 for 86 yards and a touchdown, and Adrian Peterson had 7 carries for 68 yards. :34853_doh:

What about the Offence? Late game heroics gets us nowhere fast! Play strong from the start. Face it Shawn, the Ravens D kept us in the game man.

Definitely not. We were down 17 points. Our offense came back with 18 and put us at 31-30.

Everytime the offense got a score, the defense gave up huge plays leading to field goals and touchdowns.

To put it in perspective, the defense forced the offense to have to score last year's season average in the fourth quarter to win. The defense gave up 3 scoring drives and forced 1 punt in the fourth quarter. They did not keep us in the game. They did stop the bleeding somewhat, but Walker took care of that. On the positive side, our offense almost scored last year's season average in 10 min.

NEWSFLASH! for all you defensive co-ordinator geniuses, every D gets gashed. Cedric Benson ran over the Steelers before us, the Jets D was embarrassed by the wildcat of all gimmicks and you want Scott back? Jets fans are halfway to running him out of the city for his missed tackles.

Hell Ray Rice ran over the Vikes vaunted run-D, so do we abandon ship because the NFL's best HB runs on us? no.

No we shouldn't abandon the ship but we should throw Mattison, Carr & Walker overboard! :sinking:

I expected this but A.P. running on the Ravens D is the least of my worries. He ripped off some huge runs but was bottled up for the most part. Gap integrity is to blame. That can fixed.

It's hard to take that observation seriously when our defense gave up 33 points.

Ravens defense wasnt the only one that stunk on sunday! We are embarrassed as well, ive never seen a meltdown like that from the Vikings, and trust me ive seen some meltdowns ha ha. The feeling I take from this game sure doesnt feel like a win, but sometimes its better to be lucky than good, not sure I truely understand that statement. Good luck with the rest of the season, and ill be cheering for yalls team to smoke the pukers when yall play! Peace guys out................

Guys are forgetting Ray Rice made the Vikes D look worse than AD made us look.
[/quote]
in TDs yes, in yards, no. AP didnt have the TDs but he got them set up for a lot of scores with those big runs.

The whole 100 yard rusher thing is completely over rated! If you give up 70 yards to one back and 40 yards to the other that is still over 100 yards. Last season vs the Giant's how many yards was that?

How many yards you give on the ground does not even win or lose the game for you. T. Jones put up 200+ for the Jet'son the ground and they lost the game!

took the words out of my mouth.

The most surprising thing about this game...

NO TURNOVERS!

I agree but also alot of missed tackles has plagued us this season this also needs to be stopped.

Thats the bottom line, the defensive is giving up too many pts to be top 10 anymore, heck maybe top 20.
