Why Am I Not So Upset?

23 posts in this topic

Not sure why I am not that upset at this loss. At halftime I was ready to turn the game off. I liked what I saw from our Offense and Defense in the second half. Maybe we are starting to get a little more settled in our new schemes. But, I still say our DB's still need a lot of help.

I wasn't upset when we were getting blown out. But I was upset after the missed FG. Nearly had a heartattack.

I expected us to lose. Doesnt make me any less angry about it but it hurts a whole lot less.

Yeah I had us losing as well but I thought we would have lost by a lot more myself. All the trade Steve threads should be starting shortly but I don't think Stover would have hit it either.

Vikings fan here. Your team made one hell of a comeback, and we were really handed that win. With our porous defense, we should have lost and you guys should have won. The only thing I'm excited about is getting lucky at the end and the way our offense played. With Harvin/Winfield injured and Peterson getting his ankle twisted (although he came back in)...that sucks. I was totally expecting a big Todd Heap over the middle completion in the last 2 minutes, TE's have been owning us down the middle all season.

Good luck next week.

I was pissed off in the 1st half but i give it to the boys.. they played hard and got back in it.. Too bad kicker blew it but look on the brighter side.I almost piss on myself waitn to see if he make it or not.. If he would have made it i would have had pee on myself jumping for joy. Our Offence can Win games for us if the Defence do its part...

Terrible football???? What game were you watching? Give our team some credit here. Playing a top notch team, in their stadium, after two quick scores, and fighting till the end, with a great shot to win the game. The coaches took a punch in the mouth, then took another, and then proceeded to make the adjustments they needed to put us in a position to win. If not for the boneheaded plays by Walker (INSERT PINK SLIP HERE) and a missed field goal, we just played to best half of football we've played all season in a hostile environment, against one of the best teams in the league. Give them some freaking credit!

I am so happy about the play in the second quarter. I wont even fault the ravens for the loss. You are right i saw flashes of greatness from the offense. I never thought id see a late come back from a ravens offense.

Yeah, nobody thought we had a chance since the viks first score and stop on D. It felt good that it was a close game, disturbing that we had to put our fate in the hands of a guy that watched the whole game from the sidelines and have that be the outcome.

I am always upset after a loss, but there was some good to take out of the game. Joe Flacco darn near out Farved Favre. Great pose under alot of pressure today. Ray Rice is the real deal. Oher did a solid job vs Allen. Yes, he made a few mistakes but I have seen vets do alot worse. Ray played a solid game. We did give up 100 rushing again but I think we were only victemized by two big runs. Webb did a nice job with kick returns. gonna leave the bad alone we have already rehashed that enough.

I was actually fine before the comeback. But coming so close again only to lose hurts me a lot. I think this is one the worst days to be a Raven fan because of how high the expectations were.

Its only human to be upset. I can think of a lot worse moments in Raven history. Its only week 6. We still have time to repair the broken wings and bounce back. We can still salvage a playoff birth. Hang in there with the rest of us.

I wouldn't say this is the worst moment in Ravens history or even close, but to start out so hot makes this losing streak hurt all the more.

I'm trying to be optimistic but can't. I guess I need a couple of days before I can get over this loss.

Pissed not because we lost, but HOW we lost.

I would've been happier with us not even getting into FG range and just going 4 and out with MIN kneeling it. But losing this way makes it WORSE!

I'd rather us have a pass in the endzone picked off (Hail Mary) or incomplete than miss a FG that a good 80-90% of kickers would make.

There is A LOT to be proud of on this game.
Flacco was on fire.

WAY improved on penalties over the past two weeks. A much tighter more diciplined team.

I loved the fight and the spirit I saw in this team. Getting their butss whooped and NOT giving up and fighting till the last seconds.

Good job team.

( call Matt Stover and see if he wants a coaching job)

True, except for Mr. Walker.

He had a 39 yard PI penalty, and would have had a 58 yard PI called against him - but it was declined.

Other than that, I agree...

Yeah there was those two, but much, much less than the previous two weeks.

Those PI penalties were deep wounds.

I'm not so upset about the lost because the team displayed some heart fighting back in the second the half.. and although it was a similar outcome (of having a lead in the 4th qtr and giving the game away) it wasn't as sour because it didn't seem like we shoulda been in the game...

(Obvious take aways from this game is.... the secondary is WEAK really its not a joke... we cant cover any deep balls throw to receivers over 6'1"..... We are not getting enough pressure on the QBs (from the front line), when we blitz heavy that leaves the corners on {man to man ISLAND}

At times I just think the other members of the secondary are just hoping that (Super-ED REED) pops up and saves the day for their poor play!!!! I'm starting to feel like Ed Reed might have to play 20 or 30 yds back every play to prevent big plays (but this would sacrifice him on run plays sooooo not a great idea)

<_< Not upset, but dissapointed. Not by the missed FG, but the way our CB's played. Quite frankly, if they keep playing this way every week, we can only talk about Playoffs. D-Coordinator Mattison needs to put his foot down and make some changes back there, it's costing us winning games!!!

Mattison was not the one who didnt put points on the board in the first half.
