The Baltimore Ravens face a tough task Sunday, Oct. 18, when they play the Minnesota Vikings, undefeated at 5-0, at Mall of America Field at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. Game time is 1 p.m. ET.

The Ravens, now 3-2 and losers of 2 in a row, have dropped gutwrenching, difficult games decided in the final minute of play. They lost a 27-21 decision at the Patriots 2 weeks ago, and followed that with last Sunday’s 17-14 defeat at M&T Bank Stadium to the 4-1 Bengals. Cincinnati's winning TD came on QB Carson Palmer’s 20-yard pass to WR Andre Caldwell with 22 seconds left in the contest.

Baltimore now trails the Bengals by 1 game in the tough AFC North. Cincinnati has beaten the other 3 teams in the division, including road victories at Cleveland and Baltimore. The Ravens and Steelers are tied at 3-2, while the Browns are 1-4.

The game at Minnesota, a 38-10 winner over the Rams last Sunday, is the 1st of 4 against the NFC North. The Ravens are at the Packers for a Monday night special on 12/7 and then host the Lions (12/13) and the Bears (12/20) on consecutive Sundays.

After the trip to Minnesota, the Ravens will have their bye weekend before hosting the currently undefeated Denver Broncos on Nov. 1. The battle with the Broncos will be followed by consecutive road games at Cincinnati and a Monday night clash at Cleveland on 11/16 .[url="http://www.football-refs.com/active-refs/don-carey/"]

im hoping to see Heap involved in the passing game this week. one of MIN's few weaknesses so far this year on defense is against opposing TE's...

Interesting fact guys! I will most likely not be able to see the game on tv today so I would have to follow on the NFL.com gamecenter. Dating back to last season, we are 5-0 when I have to follow on the gamecenter! Granted, the games were against the Bengals twice, Browns twice, and Raiders but thats besides the point. We're undefeated!

Approximately 30 minutes till game time. I think the last time I was this anxious was last years AFCC game. I dont have a prediction but I do expect our boys to come out swinging. I just cant see them allowing a second 100 yd rusher. I think our coaches have thought long and hard about this game plan and expect them to suprise us all. This is going to be one to remember. I just hope for discipline, intensity, and execution from all phases. With that a win is inevitable!

Usually after a player signs or is traded they do not play the next game, especially if that player hasn't played football in a long time.

It's no surprise that he's inactive. Actually besides Gaither, our inactive list ain't to shabby this week.
