what do u guys think about hiring phillips as our dc after he gets fired by the cowboys

I think its unlikely. Even if Mattison were to be replaced it would most likely be from within the organization or from the Eagles defensive staff.

He was succesful in SD, but he also had some pretty talented players to work with. (not saying we don't)

Why? Wade Phillips is even more obscure of a man than Mattison. On top of that, have you seen what Wade's D has done in Dallas since he's been there?

I dont see Wade Phillips or any other D coach replacing Mattison this year. Give the guy a break. Our deficiencies on D are not because of Mattison. Our problems stem from experience and discipline. Just give it time to develope. We have been in every game so far this year with the opportunity to win the game. It is not his fault. I would like to see him make the change at nickle and from what I just heard, Carr has be quarantined from the team due to the FLU BUG.

some of you guys are funny. It's near blasphemy to want to cut Clayton loose after failing us for over four years, but five games into the season you want to get rid of Mattison??

To be honest I dont know why this question came up anyway. ESPN reported yesterday that he would remain head coach for the remainder of the year. Jerry Jones said "without equivocation" he would be here.

Agreed.....Yeah, I lurk around here most of the time because the new breed of posters have some crazy thoughts, suggestions and wishes.
