All i know is if we dont suddenly get a consistent pass rush in the very near future, Peyton Manning is gonna have a field day. Im talkin 450 yards passing and 3 or 4 tds type of field day. :baltimore-ravens:

Well said. If the Ravens run a 3-4, the possibilities become endless.
According to the depth chart we do run a 3-4 defense, though I agree that its more of a hybrid defense and we've looked more like a 4-3 or 46 so far this year.

I don't think, at 6'0 and 315, "lean" is the best description of Kelly Gregg... :D

Both Ngata & Gregg are built like NTs. Haloti is 6'4, 345 - not very lean, either.
Sorry, I made a mistake. I meant to say that they are Nose Tackles and aren't meant to be lean and fast. But, Ngata is one of the fastest and most athletic DT's in the league. In the browns game he chased thier RB down from behind about 10 yards from where he lines up. Not to mention his interceptions/fumble recoverys that he's ran back! That's not something that you see from a DT.

And on the DL we haven't added anyone new that matches your description, the last one was Ngata, and he is one of the most athletic DTs in the NFL.

Thank you! The last D-linemen we've drafted have been guys like Dwan Edwards and Ngata and both are pretty darn athletic for 300+ guys.

This whole argument about Defensive Tackles providing consistent pass rush is a MYTH from the very start. It is indeed a RARE occurance to have a Defensive Tackle who can consistently (or even periodically) get pressure on the quarterback.
Yes. All of the arm chair GM's seem to think that its easy to find guys like Warren Sapp and Albert Buttersworth, but those guys are rare. I'm happy to have guys like Ngata, and Gregg. And even though I thought that Trevor was washed up he's shown me that I was wrong. The man still has wheels.

I just don't think that you'll find many groups of 300 plus pound D-linemen that are as athletic as our group. I'll take them over anyone else. I don't think its the personnel.
