Before the signing of David Tyree, Curtis was placed on the Eagles' trading block. Does anyone else think he would have made a major impact in our recieving game? 4.21 hand timed, but a 4.35 at combine. 6 ft 190 lb. Ive watched many many eagles games because of my brother being a fan, and I've always been impressed with his performance when healthy. He was behind Maclin, Jackson, Avant, etc. so there was no hope of him playing...I believe they would have taken a 4th rounder. WHY NOT?

He's prone to injury but he I don't think he would warrant more than 5th round pick. He's a serviceable player but I don't think management would go after him.

How is a minor player like Curtis supposed to make a major impact in a run first team?

So what if he's the fastest white boy on earth? he's old and he's not a playmaker.

Curtis is 31, had one great season ('07). He's only been a full-time starter one year in his 7 year career, and has 5 catches this season.

He's not horrible, but he's not the answer.

Curtis is a good receiver but Cam doesn't run a 4-receiver set so he wouldn't have seen field much. With Tyree, even though he won't be catching passes, but he'll be making tackles on special teams.
