The Jet's Get Attacked By A Wild Cat!

16 posts in this topic

Since Rex Ryan, Bart Scott and Jim Leonard have left B-More for the New York Jet's a lot of us fan's have been complaining about our new D-Coordinator as well as not having the player's that left. Live on Monday Night Football the Organized Kaos turn in to Organized Confusion. All week long NFL analyst were saying that Rex had the knowledge to tame the Wild Cat and on Monday that Wild Cat went crazy all over the Wild Cat tamer.

The Rex Ryan Exotic Blitz package? :toilet: Chad Henne dissected the Jet's like a Hollywood Plastic Surgeon all night long. The Jet's were never able to get a good pass rush on Henne by the time the D would even get close the ball was out and just when the Jet's thought they had a shot, the Dolphin's move the pocket for better protection. Pretty much the Dolphin's had the Jet's pinned up against the wall from the kick off.

Why am I talking about this game? Just to say that the Rex Ryan Defense is not bullet proof, he has bad games and has had bad games right here in Baltimore. The Jet's are 3-2 just like the Raven's and all of the player's that we all love that left for N.Y. at the end of the game Monday were sitting on the bench out of breath. I hope Rex and the guys do well in N.Y. but Rex was not the first D-Cord. and he will not be the last. Support our new D-Cord. just like the rest of the guy's that have held that position. :batteur-musicien:

Chad Henne looked really good. Either he is that good, or the Jets played that bad.

I respect Rex Ryan, but I hope he fails in New York.

I am so glad you started this post. I couldnt agree more. It just goes to show that it is not always the cordinators scheme that defines the outcome. This tells me that it was Baltimore's execution and discipine that shut down the wild cat last year. Nothing taken away from Rex, he is a great D.Cord./Coach, but anything can happen!

Yeah I hope he does well but after a loss he can not throw his D under the bus like that.

I have to say...I LOVED watching the Dolphins pick apart that defense. I expected a massacre of the Dolphins after the way Rex and our D figured out that wild cat offense last year and was pleasantly surprised to be shown otherwise. Thank you Saints & Dolphins for bringing the Jets back down to earth :)

LOL. The Saints made Sanchez look like a rookie, and the Dophins made the Jets D look average. But they get a break this week with Buffalo.....

Just rewatched the game and the Jets D hardly ever overloaded blitzed at all. Its like they were scared because of the wildcat, Leonhard or Rhodes was hardly ever sniffing around the box which is critical to shutdown the wildcat. Still smile everytime I see Scott blow a tackle, Jets fans had him pegged as Ray Lewis coming to NY.

If Bart played as "big" as his mouth is, he would be the next Ray Lewis....

Fun fact: Jets leads the NFL... with the least amount of sacks :P
It's a good fact. Considering that a lot of people on here think its because the loss of Rex is why we suck in the pressure department. When in actuality we aren't doing half bad.

Even with Rex blitzing the house on every known passing down. They are last in the league in sacks. I'm sure if there was a stat for most blitzers (# of linebackers, cbs, etc). The Jets would lead that category.

My sentiments exactly. Love the guy, but there's something deep inside me hoping the Jets tank.

That Jets "D" looked softer than Rex Ryans lady lumps.

I just sick of hearing how great Rex was in B-More, he has had his days just like anyone else. Calm down B-More our D is not off track.

Looks like Rex's blitzing D is getting beat again. They keep throwing the blitz but to no avail. They could go down to the Bills and their backup QB.

Sanchez has never played in cold weather and he's turned into a turnover machine.
Very true. It should get interesting. "My hands are cold"

Well the Jets have a chance to save face. They need the cointoss.
