another thing, for all of u who say bring back rolle and mcalister, lmao.. so funny to hear this. hmm how many times have we seen mcalister get burnt deep when he was here. pretty often, he was physical but he couldnt run with a wr. we see rolle play 10 yrds off his guy... we had the 2nd best pass defense last year with fabian and rolle. foxworth is a better corner than rolle.. the problem is we have a new d-coordinator in the building who plays soft.. why was it that when rex ryan was here we were 2nd pass defense, and we actually brought in a better corner over rolle.. fabian and foxworth have been starting to play bump and run more often.have seen only foxworth get beat once considering henry pushed off on foxworth and he touches his shirt and its a flag on him, even warren sapp said give me a break... ravens get jipped alot with calls. even nfl network anaylst have said this.. other than that in the game against NE. u know how many times moss went vertical against foxworth and he was glued to him, and made brady checkdown to another reciever. yea i was there, u all didnt see cuz u had camera view on ball.. maybe when foxworth was ahead of ochocinco deep and could have picked it off if chad didnt pull down foxworth.. u all need to take a deep breath and a step back and go over film closely. like i said go to a game, cuz im heading out tomorrow morning for a nice weekend in minnesota.. i will actually try and record some secondary views from my camera... and put up here or on my website... i will tell u what i have seen from the game, and my point of view on our secondary, linebackers and chris carr if he is in the game once again!! ughhh. hopefully kruger is activated and we bring heat on that old man favre

I agree with a number of your points but prior to his final two years when injuries really slowed him, C-Mac was a great corner. And I don't know if I'm willing to call Foxworth a better corner than Rolle just yet. Rolle can be beat deep but other than that, he's solid at everything he else. He covers well, knows how to play the ball and is underrated against the run.

Still, you're right about Foxworth not being the complete mop people think he is. He HAS given up some plays that left me scratching my head but there have been other play that were out of his control.

I'll agree with mattison playing soft. I've gotten so used to our corners playing close to the line that when i see them playing 5-10 yards off this year it looks funny to me.

Our top guys at WR are set and they aren't changing. Any talk of aquiring someone at this point is not to help us this year but to help us next year. Remember all 4 of our top WR's are set to be free agents next year. Possibly even all 5 depending on what kind of contract Tyree signed. Ozzie is thinking ahead to a WR core that will probably be very different next season.

Next season if something doesn't happen guys like Harper, Wheelright, Smith, and Riley would be our core guys.

I agree with your first statement. I expect Ozzie to bring in at least two receivers through the draft and FA.

Harper and Riley could make the team but see Wheelwright and Smith as practice squad fodder. Smith may have a place on the team because of his special teams ability but you never know.

yea u and i (ed_reed20) have talked about this before actually. saying how riley and harper will be ready to go next season, like i said, if harper can catch better during practices and work his ****** of in the off season and training camp next year. he will be a complete reciever, hes open constantly.. riley for being 21, he has great potential, better than DHB for sure.. apparently him and harper are looking good in practice. any chance one of these boys could get bumped up. i wanna see it, cuz they both have size and speed and good route running

i agree tradeing willis would be a stupid move...
[/quote]

do you think the team plans to keep him beyond this season? If willis desires to be the featured back and not be in an offense run by committee maybe the team is thinking lets move him while there is value. I don't think it would be a smart move, at the same time when the Pats traded Seymour I thought is was a bad move but they were not going to resign him to a new contract and they ended up getting something for him instead of nothing at all. Maybe that is their train of though. Not sure just tossing around ideas.

oops i made a boo boo.. i meant to say when we had rex ryan people commented on the fact how we had the 2nd ranked passing defense... and look at it this year, its cuz mattison plays soft, were not a soft team. he is screwing up our raven D. and im not liking probley like the most u are not liking it

for how much of a willis fan i am.. i see this happening tho i dont want it to.. look how many backs we have on the roster now. its crazy, IMO, i seriously think its gonna happen for a draft pick.. maybe give up mcgahee along with a 3rd for another 1st, but im not sure. maybe trade for dwayne bowe, who is an excellent reciever, that would be nice!!!! if this happens tho, were gonna hopefully bring back lorenzo neal and have power run football again baby!!! oh riiight, any takes on that

i seriously think, harper and riley will be ready next year.. especially harper. and were gonna resign washington. im thinking were gonna make some trades before week 6 or in FA pick up some1, and then u have the draft. mason will probley forego his retirement, and theres no need for clayton nor williams. obviously williams and harbaugh are not on the same page together.. maybe a trade with him and mcgahee. u never know. will have to see
