I just heard on Sportscenter that the ravens are making calls to acquire more depth at WR, they said don't expect Boldin or TO but someones 3rd/4th Wr. Any thoughts on who we could be looking at or who would yo want, I would want someone from Arizona, they have plenty of depth at WR or maybe Phi or NYG.

This is scary. It sounds like panic time at the castle. I'm not saying we have world class WR's, but with Flacco's accuracy being a bit off and our failure to fully exploit the running game I don;t see why the FO would be after WR's at a time when it will probably cost us big time. I'm getting the feeling that Harbs or Cam are only concerned about having a passing game and will do whatever it takes to get one. I heard on one of the Fan radio programs that there was a rumor McGahee was held out of the last game because there are trade talks involving him. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot if it's true -- get rid of your top scorer for an unknown 3/4 WR.

Maybe the great and powerful OZ is thinking about obtaining a WR and then trading him for a CB.

Trading McGahee would be an aweful move right now. Hes what kept us in all 3 Pitt games last year and is one of the top scorers right now. I dont understand the logic at all right now in Bmore, give McGahee 1 touch on Sunday, and 5 the Sunday before? Alrite Harbaugh so you didnt like him last year cuz he was out of shape in TC, well he got the message and worked his ****** off, not only that he was laying half dead on the field in the AFCCG trying to catch a nothing desperation check down pass. If that rumour turns out to have any validity in it at all im going to be extremely heated.

what, McGahee is worth far more than a 4th receiver
yeah.. this is puzzling, I wouldn't mind trading McGahee for a 1st WR if Rice plays the way he is right now the rest of the season, but a 4th receiver??

I wish I could say it was McGahee for Nnamdi Asomugha... but the last thing the Raiders need is a running back.

don't be so quick to write the Raiders off lol, you don't know whats going on inside the head of old and somewhat odd Al Davis

Trading Willis would be retarded, he's our leading scorer.

Damn are we allowed to say the "R" word, I wanted to say it so many times but thought it was a no fly zone.

after all they did give the pats a first round pick for seymour.... my only problemw ith nnamdi is his huge... and I mean like HUGE contract

there might have been a rumor about the trading mcgahee, and they held him out to see how they would fare with out him... just so they know what they would be missing in the trade..

I honestly don't think they would trade mcgahee for a 3rd/4th WR... unless its a beast of a 3rd/4th WR..... if I had to speculate it would have to be from either the eagles or cowboys.... maybe the cardinals

I love McGahee, the guy is a warrior and epitomizes what the Ravens stand for (at least when he comes to TC in shape, lol). The last thing I want to see is him leave. That says a lot because I despised him when he was in BUF, but he has done nothing but earn my unconditional respect since coming over here.

Now that I got my McGahee lovefest out of the way, I think that between Rice and McClain, our rushing attack is in good hands if McGahee is traded.

I know this is only a rumor, but assuming there is any validity behind it, I think that Oz realises McGahee is worth a lot more than some no-name receiver.

I'm all for a trade if it lands us a legitimate WR.

im praying this doesnt play out...if it does i say we are folding up the tent...cause we wont even make the playoffs...

this is the NFL anything can happen... perfect example arizona of last year.... who knows this might help us more than we think... granted losing your top scorer is always a hard thing... but no need for the doom and gloom, nothing we can do about it... except stick with it and root for our team

How much you guys want to bet that we're trying to trade for Roscoe Parrish from Buffalo? Remember, ya heard it here first! :D

McGahee is not going anywhere, and there have been rumor about trading for a receiver for months. Has it happened, no. Will it happen, no. I really think people are starting to panic because he lost two straight, but it is really early in the season. Stop worrying.

But these boards exist so people can panic and speculate! We have to get this stuff out of our systems somewhow. Without these topics, what would we talk about???

Man that would piss me off, short of trading Carr for Parrish is about as far as I would go player for player wise.

Them trading for any reciever at this point further shows that they failed this off season in the front office..

The Ravens fan base were practically screaming/crying for a WR this off season...they gave us nothing

When Mason retired....they still gave us nothing

when flacco showed this pre-season that he was capable of supporting a pass heavy offense...they still got us nothing

Now that we lose 2 games in a row

they get us David Tyree...and maybe some other teams Trash!

Now Marshall is Happy..Boldin seems satisfied and not to many other Wrs seem to fit

If this season somehow takes a turn for the worst the Front office has to take the blame

every other young QB has a Wr for the future...except flacco

Well we have a good 1-2 punch in Rice and McClain so Mcghee seems to be the most logical to trade I think a need for a WR precides Mcghee on our roster but a 3rd or 4th reciever no way unless they throw in a really good Corner in aswell. Dont get me wrong I am a fan of Mcghee but if we can get some missing pieces to the puzzle im all for it.

They did sign Drew Bennett. But seriously, there really wasn't much available. It would have cost too much money and some high draft picks to bring in Boldin or Marshall. Besides them, there were no stud receivers available. What did you want them to do?

I feel ya man.

I most certainly cant complain that we took Oher rather than trading up for Maclin, which is what I hoped for, or sit back and let Nicks fall to us.
But as much as I like Kruger, was he a bigger need than getting a WR? I know we draft "the best player available", but the WRs that were still on the board at that point were just as good a selection as Kruger.

And dont even get me started on Boldin.

Not only that its debatable that Kruger was even the BPA, because all around the league rookies are making an impact and to no fault of his own the staff wont even play him. Some of the stupidest crap ever bar none.

McGahee's value is too high with this team but not high enough with other teams for him to be traded. At least right now, leading scorer or not.

With that said, if we were to make a trade for a backup WR, I'd definitely take someone from Arizona or New Orleans. The depth on both teams at WR is outstanding. Even San Diego, I'd settle for. As for who I'd give away, wouldn't know and particularly wouldn't care unless it were a big name like a Haloti Ngata or an Ed Reed; those guys are simply untouchable, IMO, and I wouldn't give them up for anyone on any other team.
