Indy's Injuries

23 posts in this topic

Indy is starting to have injury problems and it is effecting how they play quite significant. Is it because of the way Indy builds a team? The colts like home grown talent to help keep costs down but does this effect their depth? Without Harrison or Clark it seems Wayne was Mannings only other option making his play calling predictable. Dwight Freeney who is an integral part of Indy's D is also out, quite possibly for the rest of the season but even if he comes back late in the season the Injury to his foot will have a negative effect on his infamous pass rushing ability. When Indy gets thin they get real thin, only bringing 18 offensive players against San Diego and leaving with 16.

How do you think the rest of Indy's season will pan out?

I think it's just all bad luck really that all of their star players have gotten hurt all at once like this. Manning's offense is all about rhythm and timing and well, he isn't going to have it as well with backups and I think that will affect him.

However, something has to be said about him throwing 6 INTs and having a ton of backups on his starting offense and still managing to bring the Colts within 2 points of victory.

they brought in simeon rice to replace freeney, so that should stop the bleeding there.

Its funny that many critisized the colts for drafting a wideout in the 1st round of the draft, and now thats were they have no depth.

I think the colts will do ok this year, possibly making it to the AFC finals (but probaly not)

those kinds of injuries to those kinds of players have taken a Toll on Indy and the Team hasnt been able to find a good replacement for them in the mean time while they heal from Injuries and its shown with 2 back to back losses, i would expect Indy to bounce back and start doing well again...minus us of course lol

I think manning looked almost as bad as Mcnair, but they could still score. You could see the frustration on Mannings face.

even the "greats" have their own bad games....just a decision on whether or not the player is willing to accept that and move on and forget about it, coming back next game and do VERY well....

well now, i think that we can ALL look at it in the prospect that Not ALL the Teams are "invincible" from the great inury threat, even the best of the best teams in Football right now, have had their injury problems.....this is just another example of it.....the Patriots are just avioding the Injury bug, with all their players, excpet for at the running back position.
