this aint gonna change nothing...he couldnt even make a New york team he helped win a superbowl with...just a waste of money...imo...

I wouldn't call it a waste of money. The G-Men have one of the most talented, young receiving corps in the league. Steve Smith, Nicks, Manningham and Hixon are all good. Hagan, Moss and Barden are talented players themselves and yet are on the outside looking in. There was no way a player like Tyree, who earns his keep on primarily on special teams, could crack that roster.

Just heard on the Bruce Cunningham show that Tyree has cancelled his scheduled workout with the Tampa Bay Bucs and will sign with the Ravens. I am guessing for special teams play mostly.
i think he will be playing more then special teams with the play of clayton and the absence of demetrus williams.

Now theres an organization that has drafted well in the past 4 years. Just a sick Dline, monster HBs, sick Oline, 4 very good young WRs, servicable LBs (personally despise Antonio Pierce cuz he makes me look like an NFL athlete with how fat and slow he is), and a good young secondary.

Yep. The Ravens have drafted really well too but I think the Giants have been slightly better. Ramses Barden hasn't even hit the the field yet because of all the talent in front of him.

I think clayton should be benched and washington should be moved to the 2nd reciver spot and tyree to the 3rd, hoopefully it has the same affect on clayton it had on mcnabb last year clayton has poteinal he just needs 2 work on his consistency. does anyone agree here?

You honestly want to put a career special teamer ahead of Clayton when the team is going into the most important game of the season so far? And why? Clayton played well on Sunday. If Flacco throws a better ball on the second-to-last possession, Clayton is the hero and the Ravens are 4-1.

Well, we need dpeth at Corner more. I don't know where he'll play, Washington seems solid so far

The website ran a story that he might be back next week. I REALLY hope so.

I just read on the Ravens Insider that Rolle was seen with a neck brace on at the facility. And Preston said there was literally no chance he was playing anytime soon because of neck surgery he underwent in week 2.

Adds depth to special teams, so I like this move. He went to the pro bowl as a special team player didn't he?

In 2005.

Yea a buddy of mine is a Giants fan and said he was a good pick up... He is a pro bowl special teamer... if he can make some catches for us then that's just a bonus.

lets just all line up at the team facility tomorrow and say "we're here for the open CB tryout" one of us has got be able to make a play one time right?!

:D

Hey its too bad we already have Flacco. I just threw a football 68 yards upfield and it landed between the hash marks (unlike Vince Young), and I'm pretty sure I can beat up Troy Smith (and certainly far more man-pretty than him). Lets do it!

Damn 68 yards, I was juiced when I threw one 55 and kicked a 35 yard FG. Granted it was a CFL ball and theyre bigger so maybe I could chuck it a bit farther.

Side note anybody see Sanchez's AWEFUL hail mary throw, he threw that ball like 60 yards in the air and about 35 yards down field lol.

Man, speaking of FG....
I have a newfound appreciation for kickers. never in my life have I tried to kick one before, so while me and my son were goofing around, I lined one up on the 30 yard line to see why so many guys have been missing 30- and 40- yarders this year. All I have to say is: FAIL. Made one out of 4 attempts from 40 yards out. And that barely (and I mean barely) cleared the crossbar.

And Sanchez's hail mary was just shameful. Looked like a botched punt, lol...

Well I cant say ive watched every Miami game, but that one play Smith made to break up the deep pass to Braylon Edwards showed me a lot. If hes an inch shorter he doesnt make that play, and hes got the footspeed to keep up as well. Foxworth may be fast but he doesnt have the footwork(constantly tripping over his own feet and stumbling around) doesnt have the coverage(too short, lack of aggressiveness sometimes) and lacks the general football IQ(constantly getting beat inside on man coverage blitzes)
Wow! I thought you were talking about Kyle Boller!

Where has williams been? He's a GREAT reciever healthy and I've actually thought he was healthy. I almost puked when I saw this signing. TERRIBLE. Tyree will end up done for the season in 2 weeks or he'll miss atleast 8 more games.

When you consider that Williams has been active for all 5 games, and hasn't caught a single pass... "great" may be overstating it a tad...

Tyree will be a ST player, akin to BA and Harper.

Considering Denver had no plans to trade him, unless you were up for just kidnapping him or targeting him for a hit, I'm not sure how the Ravens could have gone after him.
The Radio made a good point today. The Broncos trade Marshall would almost be the same as the Raven trading Flacco. Good young player with a lot of potential, why would you even think about trading him?

Samari returning? People keep telling me he's done for good. I'm confused!
Unfortunately, a Ravens Insider article should clear it up for you:

"Rolle appears in neck brace at Ravens facility

Ravens cornerback Samari Rolle was at the team's training facility in Owings Mills Monday, but he was also wearing a neck brace. Rolle is also still under doctor's orders not to drive, so it doesn't appear he will be on the field in week No. 7.

Because of a neck injury, Rolle was placed on the physically unable to perform list early in the season, which means he couldn't play in the first six games. It's unlikely that Rolle will play this season. He had another neck surgery about two weeks ago."

I think we should give him a chance at slot at least, to see what he brings to the table. Who knows, he might be pretty effective for us, look at Braylon, I know it was only one game but he made some pretty good catches that he regularly missed in Cleveland.

lol oddly enough thats why I lined my FG attempt up too with my buddies at park ball. I was like you know what Im tired of kickers missing from like 30 out that crap should be automatic, kicked one from 25 and was waaaaaaay right, and I was just like stunned like damn what was that. Then they wouldnt let my kick again cuz the ball bounced like 30 yards past the uprights lol, but I finally badgered them enough to let me kick the 35 yarder, and I was straight down the middle and made it by about 2 or 3 yards. But man did your big toe hurt after that? I clearly had no idea what I was doing and that hurt like a mother.
