man ur funny on the whole foxworth thing. u must not go and watch the corners carefully, cuz they hardly never get beat. one play. and lets jump on it right, lol. that was a push off on henry btw, but yea lets say he gets beat every week and call him a bad corner. if anything we need help at linebackers, safetys cuz guess what they cant cover worth crap.. especially chris carr.. landry gets embarrased to much and carr just gives up the big play.. go read corners topics or something then make ur post. because alot of peeps on here put blame on the corners.. lol, wheres the pressure. find another team out there who has great corners. lets use last night game for example. chad henne had all the time in the world to throw the ball last night cuz of no pressure what happened. every1 was open, jeez even darrell revis gave up big plays. and i have talked to so many other team fans and they even say stop blaming ur own corners for ur pathetic pass rush and giving an elite quarterback all day to throw. it also doesnt help when ur linebackers can cover either over the middle.. WHERE DOES FOXWORTH GET BEAT... noone cant talk **** about fabian, cuz hes proving hes becoming shut down corner.

Watching Brandon Edwards have an immediate impact with the Jets last night is more reason to see a need by the Ravens.

I personally am not a big TO fan, but the idea of the trade was basically the need for a dude of his size for Joe to throw too.

We can look at all the WR we want but if Flacco doesn't get the ball to them or the correct call isn't called than all WR help won't help. We have Heap and LJ Smith for TE and heap isn't getting used or LJ. Last game i was so happy to see Heap getting in the action early but than that was it, so what happened to him???All i'm saying is we need to work our TE More they are probowl players or were and get Williams out there more and washington. But most of all the defence needs to stop it with all the penalities. In last games we lost because of alot of penelities and defence couldn't hold crap. And joe had 2 redzone pics that were bad, either bad called pay or throw to Heap stop trying to force it in take the 3 points.

source?
My bad, I hate when people don't cite their sources as well.

Adam Schefter and John Clayton have both been talking about it on TV, and there are rumors flying around the internet as well.

The logic is that Buffalo isn't making the playoffs, so a decent offer will coax them into trading a one-year player.

There really isn't a tangible link that I can give you; it's just rampant speculation right now.

My point is that we have to make a move if we want to contend this year.

It's just my opinion, but our receivers aren't good enough to give us an edge in the regular season that would set us up for a postseason run to the Super Bowl.

Because of the receivers, we'll either lose games that will not give us homefield, or lose games in the playoffs.

The bottom line for me is that need to upgrade; one receiver isn't good enough if we want a Super Bowl. Mason may get us to the AFC semi-final but Mason/Clayton/Washington aren't good enough, considering our secondary and pass rush situation.

Of course we could upgrade the defense, but the receivers are killing us right now, and Foxworth/Washington/Suggs/Pryce/Ngata have a better chance of improving than Clayton/Washington/Williams.

A mid-round draft pick for a one year rental? That's a no-brainier to me if we want to contend. He brings baggage, but you have to weight the on-the-field benefits that he would come to Baltimore with.

Ozzie had a chance to get Marshall, but Marshall's off the field issues have clearly affected his play...

Oh wait...IT HASN'T. He's still tearing up defenses and ATTACKS the ball in the air, unlike our wide receivers that just let it come to them because they're too small to do anything else, especially against corners bigger and more physical than they are.

Draft picks are great, but proven young players are better. <watch your language> I am seriously pissed off at our front office, Oz wanted to get Vick but not a Marshall? Makes complete sense.

Notice how both Flacco's "game deciding" picks are IN THE RED ZONE. What if we had a tall red zone target? Undefeated anybody? I think so.

Edit: KYLE ORTON ACTUALLY LOOKS GOOD. Give me a break. Chad Henne also looked good yesterday, why? Because they have a good tall set of receivers (not to mention, Ronnie Brown could be a receiver, he's so good).

I am no Clayton fan at all and I am all for bring guys in that will make us better, as for our secondary we need help. What we have is just not working. We are giving up a like of Touchdowns and big pass plays. We finally got an offence(Even with clayton on the field) and now our defence is not doing their part. These big arm QB's are killing us and from the look of it , it will not get any better. We have the Vikes next week(Brett is doing what he does best), the Broncos(Coming off a great win against New England) and then Bengals again. All these teams coming in the next 3 weeks have good QB's and WR's who could embarass our secondary.

The worst part is . its really no one in free agency thats stands out to be of any help..but then again we can't get any worst.
This is exactly how i feel! My prediction before the season was 13-3. Now, I just dont know man! im hopin for atleast 12-4. But with this downhill, snowball effect, I would be satisfied with atleast a wildcard spot. I know people are gonna bash me for makin these statements. But it is what it is! It doesnt look good for us. We have yet to beat a decent team and started a potential 3 game losing streak with multiple issues. It jus doesnt look or feel good. I hope we really turn things around man!

How bout we give up a 3rd pick for T.O. That would open it up for Mason down field. IDK something needs to happen and i think T.O. has proven himself in big games. And we def. need a cornerback. Should've drafted Darius Butler when we had the chance instead of Paul Kruger early in the 2nd round.

I think it's too early to say the team shouldn't have drafted Kruger. Just because he hasn't seen the field yet, it doesn't he can't be a good pick in the long run.

With that said, Butler did look good against the Ravens last Sunday.

That or we should have signed a veteran corner in the offseason instead of giving 28 mil to a soft corner when we already had a soft corner in Fabian. Butler has the mindset of a corner, tough, competitive, and he gets angry when he gets beat. Foxworth looks like hes on cloud 9 half the time.

You know something we could of got braylon edwards i mean we could of gave up clayton a 3 and a 4 for edawards and might have gotten him i mean clevland wanted to get rid of him. They might have sent him here for all of the 3 things above and maybe another useless player. Everytime i look on sports center or online and see a top wr traded the ravens are never involved i wanna know why cause we are and have been for ever a team that needs a number 1 reciever.

Cleveland would have been more stupid than we realized if they actually shipped Edwards within the division. No GM worth anything sends a high-caliber player such as Edwards to a division rival.

I was a little dsapointed we didn't go after Phillip Buchanon in the Offseason for some depth. He went to Detroit so I'm sure he woulda went to Baltimore for a fair offer. Also Samri Rolle's injury doesn't help, as he was gonna be the nickel or even starting and when he's healthy e's great, but unfotunately healthy was hard for him

No way. First of all, your team is the Cleveland Browns. The newer version of the Cleveland Browns aren't foolhardy enough to make that trade within the division and they certainly don't want to trade a Cleveland Brown's player to the erstwhile Cleveland Browns, the version which has have a proclivity to abandon cities and extremely die-hard fan bases. They'd tear down the new stadium.

Yeah, that could happen. There's talk in the state legislature about getting a stadium done though so they don't seem likely to leave. The Twins and Gophers got their stadiums a few years ago. It's the Vikings turn now.

And, anyways, that wasn't my point. My point was why would a team trade a significant player for little in return to the team that left it's city not too many years ago. Cleveland and it's fanbase has every reason to despise the Ravens.

I get pissed off when these Owners think they can just move a team cause the Stadium's a dump, and don't want to pay for anything In the Economy right now, I don't think Tax Money is best spent on a 1 Billion Dollar stadium. And to be fair, unless Modell wanted to pay for it out of his own pocket, I would be fine if we were still playing in Memorial Stadium

Ok we get it, your still mad about 1996. I'll admit you guys got a raw deal, losing a team sucks, but at least you were guaranteed a new team, stadium and all that 3 years later. And you guys git to be the Cleveland Browns, while here in Baltimore where weve had a team leave in the middle of the night, we don't get guaranteed nothing, and the Uniform Baltimore legends like Johnny Unitas, Lenny Moore, Art Donovan etc. is out in Indianapolis

I agree with you on that point. Trades between teams in a division rarely happen. Doesn't matter who it is.

Our chances of getting B Edwards were non existent. It couldn't happen. There's no way they'd allow him to face them twice a year. There's always that revenge factor, where players play their best against their former teams.
No to both. If the Ravens wanted Jones, they would've gone after him. Walker is supposedly healthy but Oakland hasn't activated him at all this year. It looks like he's done.

I'm not a Cleveland Browns fan. I'd completely understand the Ravens having no part of trading with the Colts.

Why would any team want to take on Javon Walker's salary? Al Davis made Walker one of the most over-paid players in the NFL, if not the most over-paid, and he hasn't played much, if at all, for the Raiders. He was done when he was in Denver. Now he's done and wealthier.
