The point is, we played horrible, and it could have been much worse than 17-14.
And as horrible as we played, we still could have won. So, what point are you trying to make here? We played bad? Yeah, tell me something I dont know. What could have been is irrelevant.

Was it me. Or did Foxworth look like a lost puppy dog out there most of the game?

He needed Ed Reed to come by with a leash, or else he'd be beat.

Look if you're going to respond to something that was directed to someone else, not you, and debate with me, at least have a different opinion than me. You already knew we played bad? Good for you, I'll get you a cookie and some milk. Thats exactly what I was trying to get across to the person that I was talking to.

I said this in another thread but I want to say it again

Guys come on now. Doesn't this all sound familiar? Doesnt it ring a bell? Last year at this point, we were 2-3 and we were all questioning our season just like we are now. This is not the time to throw in the towel there is a long way to go. I have complete faith in our coaching staff that they will get this fixed and we will be in good shape.

It's true. Same thing happen last year. But the expectations have changed. Perhaps our expectations are too high, much like last year they were too low.

You know, I've been trying to give Fox the benefit of the doubt, but today I get off the fence and take a stand with him...he needs to get it together, and do it real soon.

Fabe, I still have faith in him.

I'm not trying to sound extremely negative, but I was hoping to go forward this year, not go around in a circle.

That said, there's still alot more football to be played.

No, the season's not over. But I don't know what to make of this team this year. Man, we suffer some of the most painful gutwrenching last minute losses in the history of football. It seems to me that champions wouldn't do that.

Ta heck with it, hope we play a complete game vs Minnesota and at least go into the bye at 4-2.

And we will. Theres no way we were gonna go through this whole season without facing some type of adversity. Well here it is now we need to find a way to get past it. Have faith Raven Nation. Better days are in our near future. At least I believe so.

And to think a few weeks ago we had people on here talking about us going undefeated and who can beat us. Now we have a "Don't Freak Out" thread after two consecutive losses. One of which was ugly.

I'm not freaking out but this was definitely a disappointing loss. The Ravens were 3-2 last year and still made the AFC 'chip. The good thing is the majority of the mistakes being made a correctable .

I hear ya. The loss was disappointing due to the lack of intensity, execution, discipline and play-calling.

Disapointment is about as far as I am willing to go. There is no way I am ready to throw in the towel on these guys. It is just week five and we are sitting at 3and 2. Not yet. I have faith that they will get the **** together and start playing the way we all were hoping for. It is a very tough loss to swallow. At home, divisional. Does not get much worse. Im just thankful there is still time to straighten things out. Glad this wasnt at the end of the season, deciding whether or not we make the playoffs. There is time. There will be a turn around.

Well that says it all. It isn't going to be easy but this team is built to win. The offensive needs to either find an identity or play with more balance and the defensive penalties have to be cut out but this is still a good team.

We played bad period today, both sides of the ball.

Reed and Rice were the only ones to show up today.

Mattison cannot control all the penalties that our defense commits.

Were 3-2 with a ton of football left to play.

We lost against two good football teams.

No need to overreact.
Do you all realize that we play almost all of the best quarterbacks in the league?

Rivers, Brady, Palmer (twice), Rothlisberger (twice), P. Manning, Cutler, Favre and Rodgers.

This is cause for major concern. We almost lost to Rivers and we lost to Palmer and Brady.

If we lose to Cincinnati again you can kiss our attempt at the playoffs good bye.
I just don't think we'll be shutting out the Steelers this season. Which means we can potentially go 4-2 in the division. But if we lose, to Cincinnati again, look at 3-3 at best. The way I'm seeing it, we'll be lucky to win 10 games. We just cannot afford to be making penalties like that against teams with league leading quarterbacks.

haha, I know right? People get way too high and low. You'd never know that there were 16 games in a season reading these boards.

Then just say they played bad. Stop the it could have been worse crap, its not fact.

I'll take chocolate cake and a big scoop of bunny tracks ice cream, instead. Throw some sprinkles and a cherry on top, please. :)

Obviously but that's a lot of "ifs". Who knows how this team will play the Steelers? This team will be very different in my opinion by the time they play Cincy again and Pittsburgh.

Thats what the problem is. We can't beat good football teams.
Sure we can. You dont make it to the AFCCG by bating scrubs. And we beat SD so far this year.
What you see as "cant beat good teams" I see it as only the good teams have been able to beat us. We dont lose to teams who are vastly inferior to us.

The way we are playing. Hot and Cold. We could go 15-0 or 0-15. Anythings possible now.

I am assuming a 1-1 against the Steelers. I hope to God we can go 2-0 against the Steelers, that'll make our playoff chances easier. I'm keeping it real at this point.

dont freak'huh?

a team we should beat...in our house....for first. dont' you think a so-called elite team would step up?

well....if not...let's look at remainder of season

@ minn-L
bye
vs denver-L
@ cinci-L
@ cle-W
vs Ind-L
vs Pitt-L
@ GB-L
vs det-W
vs chi-W (complete misread of schedule)
@ pitt-L
@ oak-w (typo....never meant to give L)

I think they may win 1 or 2 against a good team. but the way they are playing now they will miss the playoffs

posting from phone...sorry

Not throwing in the towel but I am concerned. This is a scary situation. This team is collapsing and there is no reason for it. I mean we dont have a rash of injuries to key players, Oher and Yanda, were not that bad. Ayenbadjo is just a situational player and he wasnt really missed where he has his biggest impact on, ST. Its to early in the season for the guys to be tired from the drag of the season.

Don't want to be a "over reacting fan" but....playing against a divisional opponent, and losing at home is not good. We still have the Vikings, Bengals (again), Colts, Steelers...anyway I'm sure they know what they are up against.

I hope whatever it is that is causing this mini slump, ends quickly! :th_thimpatient:

Minnasota is the only game on this schedule where I think we are totally over matched and being a road game, I dont like our chances.

We dont play New Orleans, so I am not sure what that is.

If nothing else we can win our home games. Historically, we are a pretty good home team. I also think we can beat Cinci, GB and Oak on the road but what do I know. I thought we'd win today.

I'm sorry but I don't think we are going to lose all those games. We are probably going to beat Oakland, CHICAGO (Not NO) , GB, and split with the Steelers.

Colts, Pitt, Minn will be good challenges. Don't forget we went into NE last week and were very competitive.
