Merged: Don't Freak Out

We played bad period today, both sides of the ball.

Reed and Rice were the only ones to show up today.

Mattison cannot control all the penalties that our defense commits.

Were 3-2 with a ton of football left to play.

We lost against two good football teams.

No need to overreact.

then we play the Vikings (Loss), Bye week (we'll mess something up), Broncos (Loss), and then Bengals again (Loss). We have too many huge holes.

we lost to a good team, and a team with unbelievable luck...

no, we lost to 3 teams in the past 2 weeks, if you get my drift <_<....

Not looking good at all and no that ist't overreacting. We looked absolutly horrible today. It's going to be a long, long season.

What did we learn from the loss?

Well, aside from not criticizing the game officials, anyway...

I think Ozzie's got a draft-day shopping list on the back of a napkin somewhere. DeCosta is gonna have to put in some overtime...

Someone might say you are taking your job to seriously, we have our opinions and historically speaking they are accurate.

Season over...8-8 at best. Lets start WR draft talk.

I'd say we lost to four teams: Patriots, Bengals, Ravens, Refs... in that order.

It's game 5 now. And our D , specifically, our passing D looks bad. How long before we need to start overeacting , week 16?

We need to change something up. Because we look bad out there at times.

You need to look back. We never bounce back from close losses. And after two in a row we won't this year.

We have 3 tough opponents who will pass all over us, lure us into stupid mistakes, and come out on top.

Fair weather nothing. I've loved this team since day one and will continue to for the rest of the season no matter what happens. But, as any real Raven fan knows...we don't bounce back.

Absolutely.

We now know that:
Mattison should still be coaching in college
We miss Bart Scott
Fabian and Foxy blow

We are not overreacting, we are stating the truth and unless something drastic is done, this is going to continue.

Here's an over reaction... fire Mattison or bring in different CBs... I don't think that's an over reaction too much because this is the worst I have seen the defense in quite sometime!

haha yes we will get better, but so will the others teams. We still need to play the Vikings, Colts, Steelers x2, and the Bengals again. IF they get better too then I don't think we will do well.

We are going to lose next week and we are going to get beat really bad. I have no faith in this team, what so ever.

I won't even go as far as those drastic changes. I think we need to add a DB (C-Mac or McKenzie) but I think Mattison will be fine if he just gets a bit smarter.

I dont know about that. This season looks a lot like last season.

Week 3 @ Pitt, we lose in overtime. Week 4 @ NE, we lose a game that went down to the last play.

Week 4 vs. Tenn, we lose @ home after a very questionable call gives Tenn. new life. Week 5. vs. Cinci we lose @ home after several very questionable calls, or lack there of, give the Bengals new life.

Week 5 @ Indy, we get destroyed. Looking into the future, Week 6 @ Minn, we get destroyed.

Week 6 @ Miami, we bounce back vs. the surprise team of the year and never look back. Week 8, we bounce back vs. the surprise team of the year, Denver. And we wont look back.

But Biscotti is going to have to bid a little higher for the refs services.

I'm glad Harbaugh doesn't think like you going into the locker room :P

Just because we're stating facts doesn't mean we're not fans..if anything sir, maybe YOU should leave if you can't honestly assess this team's performance today and last week as anything but sloppy football. I am honestly predicting a huuuuuuge loss next week because we just don't have what it takes to beat Minny, period. Beating Cinci convincingly would've gone a long way to make me feel better about it but now I know, we're probably going to start feeling more and more pain as the season goes on. Oh well. Hopefully each game teaches the team something and maybe we'll pull it out this year..or maybe next year.

I can see why you would think that. If we can't stop Benson, how can we stop Peterson? If the Bengals collapsed our pocket, Jared Allen will eat Flacco alive; [s]and if the cardiac cats were the teachers pet, what about the Favrekings?[/s] If the Bengals can make our running game all but disappear, the Williams wall probably will too.

But don't give up hope yet. The Ravens have bounced back before (just last year), they can do it again.

I really would love to have faith. But when we fail every week at shutting down the pass, my faith starts to dissolve.

ok so we beat ourselves in this one, but the refs were horrible. however, lets remember we only lost by a FG, and last week we only lost by 6 points. it's hard to beat a team and the refs, but both losses have been close and the refs contributed to both. all of our mistakes are correctable, carr needs to be banned, and the refs need to not be on the other team. we are playing some horrible football but only lost by a combined score of 9 so nobody freak out

i agree i have no faith in our football team at this point in time, the loss of rex ryan was undoubtedly as big as everyone made it out to be, our CBs are TERRIBLE. everyone who is saying they aren't panicking are kidding themselves! we thought that speed at the CB position would solve our issues in the secondary?! uh nope. Foxworth being our blockbuster acquisition this offseason?!? 2nd string corner at best. i couldn't believe when people said this was the best secondary we had in a while...not even close to when C Mac was there. there is no way we are going to beat the vikings if we play like this next week. adrian peterson >>>>>>> cedric benson. flacco is not playing with confidence any more because of all the mistakes we are making in the receiving corps. there's a definite power shift in the division...and it sucks
