Nothing fresh new or origonal, but sounds good. Nice guitar tones on a few songs. Reminds me of the late 80's early 90's thrash as it was called back then. Some Queensryche influence here and there.
Pretty cool stuff.

Wow, I was expecting much less than that. You guys have the beginnings of a pretty sweet sound. Your guitarists can really play! What instrument do you play?

I really liked the intensity at the start of Everybody Dies, I think your vocalist should use that deeper growl more, he has the voice for it and it goes better with the song. The Mourning After was also a very good track. Just my opinion (kinda biased coz I'm used to bands like Chimaira, Machine Head) but I reckon that screaming voice sounds real good... like in the Sweet Suffering!

But yeah, let me know how it all goes. I wish you all the best! Look forward to hearing the album!

I'm diggin it, I'd love to hear you guys in a studio. And maybe with Matt Barlow on lyrics, but it's hard to judge the singer with out a proper mixing and sound booth. Either way, you guys sound like you got something good going. I sent a friend request to keep up with what you got going on

Thanks so much for the compliments! We are really working hard! As for the singer, the singer you hear in those recordings is no longer with the band, our style is a bit different than his, all is well though because our new guy can really bring it! To the person that asked, I play rhythm guitar, but I recorded all of the guitar tracks on that recording except for the solo on "A Mourning After"

I like it, dude! I played bass in several bands in the early and mid 90's. You list Metallica and Iron Maiden as influences on your band, the bands I was in always played their stuff. Steve Harris is why I started playing bass. Good luck with your future endeavors!

Loved the music some of the guitar riffs reminded me of Andy LaRoche (King Diamond),but as a metal/rock singer myself the singer didn't sound like there was any heart behind his lyrics. The music tho was awesome good job.Let me know when there is more.

Will do! Thanks. I agree though, our old singer was pretty good technically but he just lacked the power that we need for this kind of music.

Very cool! We are playing at Pale Dog Live soon, I don't have a date yet but i'll let ya know. It will most likely be in November. We will be playing with a band called Altered Six they are more like a Breaking Benjamin or Three Days Grace they are really good too. So it's gonna be a pretty insane night!

do you have any recordings with your new singer?
[/quote]
No, not yet. We are still sort of getting him up to speed on all of our old songs, cover tunes, writing new songs, and learning new covers at the same time.. a lot for one person to digest lmao. The poor guy's brain is probably mush. But anyway, instead of demoing out more songs, we are probably just going to wait until we go into the studio (hopefully it won't be that long!)

I'm glad others agreed with me about the vocals. He detracted from the power the rest of the band was putting out there. But once again I must compliment your guitar skills. I won't even pretend to have any musical skill but I think you guys are really talented musicians. Metal is a tough genre, it doesn't take much to make it sound bad - and you guys have done a top-notch job with limited resources.

We do a little bit of everything, some megadeth, metallica, Trivium,Bullet for my Valentine,Chevelle,Breaking Benjamin,Ill Nino, and even some alternative stuff from the 90's like Foo Fighters,Pumpkins,Bush, ect and we took a few 80's pops songs and made them metal for instance "Shattered Dreams" By Johnny Hates Jazz lmao.

Well thank you very much! We work really hard at what we do, (a lot of people don't realize exactly how much work it takes!) As for the vocals, I agree. We really needed a change, I mean his lyrics aren't bad, a bit depressing but not bad lol and his melodies were well thought out, but he just didn't have the kind of power we need. We really needed someone with a big voice that can belt it so that's what we got!

Can't wait for you guys to hear our new stuff, it's insane!

Truer words could not be spoken working with a band is alot of work, everyone has to have the same open schedule, get along(lol most of the time),and practice is key because an out of sync band is just terrible.

Yeah, I know a lot of guys that are in other bands and they might practice once or twice a month, and it shows when they play live. We practice religously 3 days a week and the lead guitarist and I often get together to work on stuff once or twice a week outside of practice.

It's a lot of work, but we want to be the best live band around so in order to be where we want to be, a lot of work has to be done! (to my girlfriend's dismay lmao)

omg wow... that everybody dies song has one hell of a beat... or whatever its called. I just feel as though the vocals ruin that song imo. hard to explain, but with that music you'd expect a different style of present the lyrics

Actually, the funny thing about "Everybody Dies" is that it was the very first song we wrote together, we had just made our myspace page and everyone was wanting us to post some songs, so we recorded it in like 2 hours It was before we hired our last singer, so I was pretty much just doing scratch vocals until we found someone. I hadn't written any actual lyrics for the song, just the "Everybody Dies" part of the Lyrics. So pretty much I just free styled it in one take and then we mixed it and posted it.

That song now actually has real lyrics and we do some vocal harmony stuff during the chorus. It sounds much better now
