Ray's hit was clean too.... defenseless or not, he hit Chad in the shoulder and his helmet happened to pop off. It was timed perfectly. I think the NFL is going to become a touch football league soon. My gracious, let the players play.

Ray had orange paint on his helmet after that play....

To true. If Joe doesnt throw that pic, this game is in overtime. But its rediculous that we have to overcome the refs every week.

I do agree, the patriots in 2001, and pittsburgh in both of their superbowls, the fix is on.

I also don't understand the offensive gameplan... we were so vanilla all game and if not for Ray Rice's brilliant run after the catch, we don't have a chance to win this game. Cam needs to work on a lot of things, especially with Minnesota coming up. Oh, and if Benson can get over 120 yards, what do we think All Day is going to do to us? I'm extremely worried...

Blame it on Jeff Fisher and the Competition Committee, not necessarily Goodell.

What game were you watching? Chad should have been flagged for diving on Fox, flag should of been on Cinci for holding Pryce and lets not forget that Reed/Walker (announcers said reed but i think they meant walker) penalty. Walker played the bal perfectly.
Lets not forget the extra 5 yard spot the refs gave the Bengals in the 3rd quarter. Harbaugh should have done something but still a piss poor job by the refs. How the hell do you miss a spot by 5 yards?

im telling you all the ravens are just hated by the league for some reason. i guess the ravens messed up the feel-good story last year of the Titans, whoopin em at home in the playoffs, and probably by beating Miami last year too, so the NFL will hold a grudge and give us the worst refs in the history of refdom i hate the NFL

Yeah. Since it wasnt a fumble his forward progress counts but they spot the ball at the orginal LOS.

Can refs be fined for poor officiating?

We saw plenty of yellow flags, but where were the red ones?

That plus the penalty would have given us a first down. :(

Thank you, Neeps, I was just about to mention that! First of all, how does the referee miss it. Second of all, what is John doing letting that happen? Remember, they had an offsides penalty which would have made it 3 and 5 instead of 3rd and 10, which totally changes the types of plays we can call. Absolutely unacceptable.

The Ravens can't win with 1 1/2 player in the secondary, Reed + Landry. Let's enjoy the season cuz the guys bust their backs every week, yeah they can make the playoffs possibly, but I don't see us getting past the first game in the playoffs if at all. D Mase gets 0 catches?

Biggest mistake Oz made was not getting Leonard back, he was Ed Reed light in the secondary a second ballhawk, returned all our punts and kickoffs beatifully and added to special teams.

Sad but true.

Why would Jeff Fisher do that? He doesn't have a quarterback; his teams existence is based on defense... or was.

To be fair, Jim Leonhard followed Rex Ryan out of loyalty. Rex was the first guy to really give him a true opportunity in the NFL after the Bills sort of brushed him aside.

Ehh...

J. Leo has 18 tackles and 1 pd
Landry has 21 tackles 2 pd and 2 interceptions

Yeah, Carr is pathetic, but that isn't Landry's fault.

When a team is down at it's own 20 and then walks 80 yards into our endzone within two minutes they deserve the win... blame the team, not the refs.
Yep, agreed.

There's two ways to think about this:

1) Our defense is mediocre and things must be tweaked/changed.

OR

2) The NFL is a dirty league that likes to pick on teams it hates.

So far, it's looking like a mixture of the two at the moment.

Yeah, it's really become near-unwatchable.

Seriously, watch a game of NFL, and compare it to an a Rugby Union or a Rugby League game - the disparities are there.

I love the Ravens, and Football may not be my number 1 sport, although it's top 3; but it's painful to see this game being castrated by the league.

Heck, even Basketball looks a lot rougher right now.

I'll be here whether the team sucks or not, bandwagoners only follow good teams. Thats not what I am talking about. I am talking about how much control the refs have over the outcome of the games. I cant stand watching it. Nothing about todays broadcast said unbiased to me. From the time the broadcast started the announcers were all over the Bengals, it continued all game, and then well we've been over the refs a million times already. I try to stray away from throwing around accusations about games being fixed but from what I saw I am not convinced it wasnt.

We never beat good teams. Even last year we lost to most of the good teams. Sure we beat the Eagles, and thanks to a miracle, the Titans. Other than that, we never beat a great team.

We simply are not as good as we thought we were. The only reason the Ravens had a good start was because we played bad teams. And yes I consider SD a bad team.

I am not going to post on this forum again until the Ravens win, no joke.

I wouldn't go that far. It could end up being a few weeks depending on next week.
