I'm going to see Pandorum tomorrow... also looks fairly creepy; anyone in here see it?

I got an email yesterday thats its coming to my area. Me thinks a "pay for one ticket double-header" is going down. Paranormal Activity followed by Zombieland.

Zombieland was amazing... and it would take your mind off anything you may have just witnessed during Paranormal Activity. I know if I ever watch a horror film, I MUST watch SportsCenter or some sporting event afterward. That, or a cartoon of sorts haha

I saw Pandorum a week or so ago. It was pretty good, I was expecting something more horrific, but it was a good movie. Just starts out kind of slow, so don't let that discourage you. Once the opening is past, it picks up pace nicely. Quaid does an awesome job, as usual.

Anyone who says Zombieland sucks should be banned from any and all movie theaters for life.

Hey guys, the trailer on TV just said "You Guys did It, You Demanded it, Now Its coming to Theaters Everywhere"

Awesome!!! :wootwoot:

GO SEE THIS OCT. 16th

I recommend searching the movie in Wikipedia. I read the entire page. It tells the entire movie word by word. It sounds so freaking scary. And read the history of the movie near the bottom of the page, and see what happened to Steven Spielberg when he viewed the Movie.

btw, i have some friends who have seen it, one left the theater becuase he was freaked out, and the other one stayed and watched. He said its The Exorcist X10. He loved it. I have got to see this. And the one who left the theater is 28 years old, hes not a kid, lol. Its really been awhile since I have seen a quality horror movie that made me look around in my dark room before I lay my head down to sleep. :troll:

And if you want to read a AWESOME review, Read THIS It kinda has some spoilers, but nothing major so far as I have not yet finished reading.

So you read everything the movie is about, then go see it? Doesnt it lose it's fun?
I think with a movie like this, it's less about what you know than just being in the moment, because I've been told that even spoilers don't give everything away. Sure, plot details are revealed, but this movie is less about the plot and more about the chills. I've been told the cinematography is excellent for a handheld cam-type movie, and because the camera is stationary, you never know when something will happen. There's lots of long moments of silence and things happen when you least expect. There's a lot of tension and just plain creepiness that stays with you.

Dammit, I haven't even seen this movie yet and I'm a certified expert on it.

And so what do I do? Read the wiki page. It's really disturbing to read, and really hard to believe its a movie because it sounds like it's all over the place. I know I wont see it because watching Ghost Hunters gives me the creeps.

I read a more detailed spoiler elsewhere (can't find it now...) -- really disturbing stuff.

The idea that the camera is mostly stationary also gives me the chills for the simple reason that anything can happen at any time, like I said earlier. And matching up the images I've seen and the footage I've seen to the spoilers, scared me even more. Haven't slept without the TV on its sleep timer for over a week now. And I haven't even seen the movie! -_-

Well, it's nice to find out that "playing nation wide" means still not playing anywhere near me within an hour and a half. Such a let down too, I planned on seeing it friday.

Jebus. You're doing a better job getting me hyped up to see this than the ads! You have single handedly elevated this to "Hyper-Active Must See" status! :bananallama:

I saw this last night. Was pretty good - particularly given the budget that they made it on (around $15,000). Definitely had its share of jumpy moments and I've always been one that prefers suggestion and tension as a way to convey horror, rather than special effects and gore.

Some scenes worked better than others and some parts disappointed, but on the whole I'd recommend it as long as you take it for what it is.

I thought it was OK, not exactly terrifying in any way though. a couple parts were creepy. My wife, who I thought would crap her pants (she's not good with scary movies), thought it was totally stupid and actually fell asleep during it. All hype, well done by the marketing team. Wait for DVD. ;)

6/10

I'm going to agree with this review. The movie was very good at creating tension leading up to the scares. However, the majority of the scares were little more than loud noises or quick movements. There were a few genuinely creepy parts and I thought the movie was pretty well made. I'll give it a 7/10.

There were three endings shot for the film; the original one was leaked onto the internet (and subsequently put on YouTube) and was extremely anti-climactic, striving to be more eerie than actually scary (hence why it was changed.) The second one was extremely graphic and shown only at a few screenings, but involved more on-screen violence as the payoff. The third one is the one currently in theaters and is essentially an amalgamation of the first two.

I read about the endings as well. I thought the second, graphic one would've worked best. The theatrical ending seemed kinda cliched
when she came at the camera
I enjoyed the movie. However, it was not anywhere near the level of terror the commercials promised. It was eerie and disturbing. Mostly because it's more "realistic" (depending upon your beliefs) then the usual horror movie. It aims to creep you out more with "hey, this is actually kind of believable. This could happen". Then say... a ghost flies out of your closet and rips your sleeping wife's face off. The hype of how scary the movie was definitely helped the film, but left me (and I'm sure the majority of it's viewers) disappointed. And I cannot agree more with the statement of how anti-climatic the ending was. However, I expected an ending of that kind, simply because of the nature how the film was, well, filmed. Most films shot in that manner end in that fashion.

Terrible. Girl is a crap actor, the movie was too slow paced and predictable, it just sucked. Don't waste your money.
