Just ignore ravens world. If you try to comprehend him your IQ will be lowered. He's a Steeler fans pretending to be a Ravens fan, so he can troll our message board.

This why you need a #1 WR.

What? What does this even concern Clayton? We have a number one. It's not Clayton. It's Mason. Do your research, please.

Well... It was a very disappointing loss. But... We all knew it would be a battle but it just really hurts when it comes down to wire as it did. Clayton should have caught that ball at the end of the game no doubt about it. This is why I felt like we needed to pick up a solid #2 receiver because Clayton is just not as reliable as the #2 receivers in the NFL. Patriots sure did luck out with that considering our red zone scoring percentage. However, when you look back and consider the entire game, Clayton did make some big first down plays. I can't help but feel that we DID NOT run the ball no where near as much as we should have. I'm not necessarily blaming the game on the play calling but we certainly could have done better with more than 20 rush attempts all game. Even though we were playing catch up the whole game. Our defense is a totally separate issue. I think the fact that Rex Ryan is not behind our defensive play calling and observation is becoming more and more clear as the weeks go by. The Jets were able to stop the Patriots offense time and time again because their defensive play calling was aggresive and utilized their defensive players just the right way to keep constant pressure on Brady. Was plenty of bad calls but there usually is in any given game. Defense has got to step up or else I see some changes coming by next season.

Yeah, don't blame the defense or anything. Blame a guy for not making a game-winning catch in the endzone with two guys on him, or for dropping a zipped fourth down pass with...two guys on him.
I agree that there's no reason to blame Clayton for the game. But he was free and clear by a couple of yards when that ball hit him between the numbers.

It's a game. Clayton will recover. The team will recover.

You have to take what the D gives you. When they stack the box, let Joe throw. Was I the only one to see us get stuffed on 3rd and 1 AND 4th and 1 back to back plays. The run game wasn't that effective other than Rice's 50 yarder.
Ok, well McClain shoulda got those carries, but Ray had 11 caries for 103 yards. Take his 50 yarder away and thats 10 for 53. 5.3 Yards a carry is pretty good if you ask me. We ran the ball 17 times for 116 yards. take the 50 away 16 for 56 is 3.5 a carry. Mcgahee got stuffed on a Dive Play and Flacco had a QB sneak conversion which are only going to get a yard or two. And other then that, we were playing with out one the the better Left Tackles in the NFL for part of the game

This Defense looks NOTHING like the Ravens' defense we've all learned to love and admire.. Let's see now . . . what could it be? . . . . .. same guys, same talent, . . . . . . . . what could it be?

Greg Mattison?

NAAAAAAAAAW!
Let's see...

two new starting CB's and two new starting LB's.....naaaaaw, that couldn't play a factor, now could it?

I'd be careful not blaming the game on Clayton, or not calling Clayton a bust, or...well, saying anything good about Clayton. Some people seem to want to neg those who have anything decent to say about him.

Clayton's issue seems to be pressure, and to a related degree, the red zone. On the final drive, he did well early on. Catching passes, getting out of bounds to stop the clock. He got us a few first downs, but he's unable to close drives, it seems. It doesn't make him a bust, it doesn't mean he should be "fired". What it means is that he is unreliable in critical moments, and not a gamemaker. He'll get you down the field, but when you're looming over a potential six points, he is definitely not the guy to throw the ball to. However, sometimes he is your only option, and then you need to roll the dice and give it to him.

But Magician is right, some of the drops weren't his fault. He was doubled and still trying to make the catch. That's not entirely his fault, but it doesn't help his struggles in the redzone at times.

This was a great game for us. We learned alot about our guys on both sides of the ball. The play calling was sketchy at times. Carr fumbling on the kickoff wasn't good. Clayton dropping a tipped pass in the end zone trying to make a 1 handed grab for it, didn't turn out too well for us. We had a bad game overall. Im happy that us having a bad game against the Patriots resulted in a loss by 6 points and we almost won the freaking game for crying out loud. Our boys didn't play their best today. Oh one other bad thing, we sent an all out blitz at Brady in the red zone.

We will get it together and our secondary is showing a little more strength. I will beg for God to let Webb be our return man for the rest of this season though!

This just shows all the Gaither haters that he is doing his job.
Gaither is a good player but Yanda and Oher didnt do that bad. The Patriots were literally sending more guys than we had blockers for. The pressure that was on Flacco was not on our OL. It was on Cameron for not making adjustments to compensate for all the pressure they were bringing.

This game was disapointing, I think you just can't blame clayton but of course want to but i would call out the play calling. joe through 47 time i think that's to much as you could tell after the half we ran the ball and got touch down and the running was working. i was shouting at the t.v. to run early and ofter but noone listened to me until second half. Carr was bad also i posted this last week.Everyone was giving me a sorta hard time saying that he was good and he was a good at protecting the ball!!! Well everyone who saidthat last week on the first play carr lost it GET RID OF CARR. Webbs first catch to the 36 or 39 from out of the end zone. Put webb in more I've been calling for it.
Defence isn't playing as well, throught the ball to much 47 times an ,carr is useless .

It was clock work before Gaither went out. I'm not saying Oher can't pick up the slack but we're going to miss him on the other side.

Agreed. Who gives a damn what the crybabies think... they are only being that childish because they know whats being said is right and they cant place all the blame on Clayton.

Although Clayton did drop 2 straight, i was more disappointed in our defense.
Not a championship defense anymore.

Same here. This is not the Ravens that I know and love. Something needs to be done. We have two #2 caliber CB's starting for us, our LB's have lost a step or three, and we are not creating enough turnovers against GOOD offenses. We need to reload on defense in the draft.

As long as we're nitpicking how about Joe's interception? We drive down the field and he throws an interception to the sideline? That wasn't a very good play.

Joe Flacco is now a bust.

We lost to New England IN FOXBORO, and it came down to the last drive. Get over it.

what people don't understand is people have good games and they have bad games....
I'll hate him for the both of us. That could have been a big win for us. Great for Flacco's confidence as well.
It was, if anything we've learned that flacco was extremely clutch... for almost that whole game we were behind... had some bogus calls... played piss poor.... and still almost won... sound like any team we know very well (hint: It's the steelers)

But let me ask you all a question, and play devil's advocate... say he did get the first down... and willis mcgahee runs for the TD.... would you guys be calling him the hero... or passing the credit to mcgahee... not saying the criticizing isn't appropriate... but like someone else said.. he did convert for us alot on that last drive... and yes I agree, as a WR in the NFL he should be able to catch anything that hits him in the chest... but the game is over now, we had an overall piss poor performance, this is Football... this is a team sport... no one person is above or below anyone else.. yes we will get emotional... but if you lose the game, you lose as a team.. if you win.. you win as a team.... and if you blame the refs... you've got to gameplan for bad calls

the pressure was getting pretty bad... almost non existant in a quarter of that game.... and if you have that against teams like the pats.. colts.. chargers... thats like sticking your hand in fire to prove that its not hot....

I think its just due to the scheme of things.... from switching to the 4-3... I know we played in it... but yeah... I think we could def use some CB help from the draft

Ok enough is enough, you wagon jumpers make me sick. You guys cry like a bunch of babies every time something doesn't go right. I have some news for you. Maybe you didn't realize it during the game, but New England is a pretty darn good football team. You haters are going to blame this game on the defense (new england scored 27 on us in 07 but nobody complained). They lost ONE game to an elite team. If you can't accept that then maybe football is the wrong sport for you. rant over.
