I AM LEGEND

Does Anyone Else Avoid Any Type Of Football Coverage After A Ravens Loss?

16 posts in this topic

I have yet to watch sportscenter or any type of NFL coverage...

I guess this shows that I run away from issues instead of dealing with them head on..lol

as of right now you guys are my only therapeutic solution..congrats

It's rare when I avoid any type of coverage after a loss; only the Patriots game in 2007 and the 2008 AFC Title game were too much to stomach. It's cathartic for me to see every angle of the game from the outside (ESPN, NFL Network, etc.) before catching my breath and moving on. I usually get over losses pretty quickly since weeks come and go in an instant during football season.

It also helps that I'm no longer in middle school and high school, so I don't have to deal with immature prepubescent trash-talk during the week. Most people leave me alone after the first 12 hours of a loss.

I guess for me the fact that it's the same report over and over again (a product of 24/7 sports coverage)it just makes it worse...honest...I was ready to turn off the reports prior to the game cause it a bit of the same...

Actually the only thing so far I have seen on the post game is the article in MSN that makes it seem the Pats delivered a knock out punch and kept the Ravens scoreless...that type of reporting I can do without...although had it been a Ravens win it's likely someone in the sports world would have hyped it to be more than it was...

Well...one loss...we move on...

The coverage on NFL.com talks about how simply by having the refs hand them yet another game the Pats are super bowl contenders. Apparently the NFL writers favor them as much as the officials do.

I DEF dont watch after a loss, in not because im a sore loser, but the word is we can't win the big games, and unfortunatly, RAVENS NATION, this trend is becoming true. (JUST BIG GAMES, LIKE LAST WEEK).

I avoid it. Since the beginning of the season, I've seen nuthin but losing footage of our team on Nfl Network. It began with that Afc Championship game vs the Steelers. Every single Replay shows us losing. They didnt show the games we won against the Browns,Cheifs & Chargers. Of course you can watch all the games On-Demand through whatever cable service u have. But the actual scheduled Replays which are televised nationally sucks. All Losses! Oh, Nfl Redzone always show the final play of the game..They show the devastating, last minute losses to the Bengals & Patriots. Anyway, I hope i can finally watch some positive footage and highlights this Sunday Evening!

I had DVRed the game against the Pats, but a guy at the gas station was discussing the game (in great detail)when I walked in.

So I deleted it off the DVR.

If you don't see a bad call then did it really happen?

I stopped watching the replays of the Vikings game after having the image of Hauschka driving the kick wide burned into my brain. :34853_brickwall:
